Advantages: Smells sweet and good enough to eat; Left my skin soft; Cleans well
Disadvantages: Doesn't lather much
When I went to Lush last weekend and got some of their new Xmas range because I had a voucher to spend and decided to get some of these limited edition products because I always manage to miss the special editions so thought I'd get in early this year. The Angels Delight soap is one of the nicest I've used from Lush and I love most of their soaps. It's a see through pink glycerine soap that has got proper solid soap shapes all the way through it like moons and stars. I picked through them all in Lush and eventually picked one that had got a full yellow star and a bit of a blue one.
It's got a wicked sweet smell that smells like fruity sweets and it lingers for ages on my skin after I've washed with it. There was a few little foil stars on the soap but they were a bit scratchy so I took them off the second time I used it.
The soap doesn't lather very well, none of them from Lush do any more since they made the change from palm oil but Angels Delight soap lathers even less than most of them. If you use it in the shower you have to actually wash your body with the bar of soap because you can't get enough bubbles to get your skin clean. For your face or hands you can just about get enough of a lather by rubbing the soap between your hands but you need to do it for ages.
I think it's proper cleansing and made my skin feel very soft and clean. It's a lovely girly soap to use that's not just to do with the bright pink colour of it, it smells so sweet and yummy that a few people have commented on it when I've met them fresh from an Angels Delight shower. Like most of the Lush soaps this one lasts good even when you leave it in the wet on the side of the shower, it doesn't go slimey or gungy and that means it's going to last for ages which is a good job when you think that it's £2.55 for 100g and most bars in the shop were at least 200g!
I think this is a wicked soap and the smell of it is absolutely gorgeous, the only thing is that I can't see why it's an Xmas limited edition because it's not that festive really even though it has got stars on it. It smells too sugary to be like Xmas but I reckon I know a few mates who would love to get a bar of this in their stockings!
Summary: I Love All Lush Soaps And This Is One Of The Nicest
