I have always been quite curious about the solid deodorant bars in Lush. The fact that I haven't come across another company which makes similar items in such a form is truly quite bizarre if not a little bit mad. We are all use to the usual aerosols and roll ons and then recently been the deodorants which look like the Vanish sticks! But an actual bar?! I have often walked passed them in Lush and wondered what it would be like to use. Would it be easy? Would it actually use? Well a few months ago I got one free with a mail order and thought why knock it until I've tried it and afterall it was free! Aromarant is a sturdy toffee-coloured block of deodorant much ... This deodorant block is a nice rusty colour and smells of lemon and sandalwood , for lovely fresh arm pits! I like these bars more than the powders or the other bars which have a big layer of bicarb on top. This bar has bicarb in but it is mixes in so the bar doesn't feel all powdery. The bicarb will neutralize any odours throughout the day and leave your arm pits lemon fresh! This bar also has witch hazel in so it stops any nasty skin irritations some people may get especially in the hot wither. I do like this deodorant but I personally think it smells better on a man. The sandalwood is a very earthy scent so I find this ... Read the complete review

Aromarant comes in huge blocks that look like soap. When you go to a Lush shop, you can ask for as much or as little as you want to be cut off and weighed.. it's just like shopping at a deli counter! They even wrap it up in waxed paper with a little sticker. There are two fragrances you can choose from, and both are suitable to be used on freshly shaved pits. They contain only natural ingredients and aren't tested on animals... but do they *work*? I'm glad to be able to report that they do...I have tried both fragrances now and I'm really pleased with them. They kept me dry all day and left no nasty white marks on my clothes. The ... I first bought this deodorant block from Lush a few months ago.Call me a bit of a new-age weirdo, but the thought of having other deodorants with their aluminium content and other nasty man-made things in them spurred me to buy something more natural.Besides this looked and sounded like a good product,so I parted with the reddies and bought a block. The product smells really nice,a kind of heady blend of sandalwood and lemon.Being a wee chap I thought this wouldn't make me smell too feminine, and hopefully offer me some more "natural" protection from the tropical rainforest which happened to be my armpits. The problem comes with trying to apply the thing ... Read the complete review

This should have been the perfect product for me - environmentally and animal friendly and no nasty aluminium salts. Unfortunately it's also one of the most horrid products I've ever had the displeasure of encountering! The waxy bar wasn't really nice to handle in the first place, but I persevered and used it. Lumps came off. Little lumps and big lumps. It took some time to clear up. I left it unwrapped and tried a few days later when it had firmed up. That worked better. Unfortunately the smell of patchoulli became quite overwhelming the minute I got warm. And the warmer I got the more like a skanky hippy shop I smelt! Lesson learned, I didn't try it ...
