... lemongrass are the key ingredients here to knock you for six and get that nose twitching. It is a perfect scent to wake yourself up with in a morning, or after a game of sport, when you need to revive yourself. The ballastic also contains avacado which is known for its skin softening properties. I like to eat whole avacados so I know they are great for skin texture. The smell: Zesty, fresh, lemons, walking into lemon groves, summer fruits and exciting days ahead. How to store: Keep the bath ballastic wrapped up to ...more

Premium Review Lush Avobath: A good excuse to Avobath (780 words)

Last time I was in Lush, I was actually looking for a bubble bar, but decided I would treat myself to a bath ballistic while I was there. Lush stock a wide variety of them, but I didn't really have a much of a preference, except that I didn't want one with too many 'bits' in it - as some of them contain things like petals and strands of lemon peel, and I don't like having loads of things floating in the bath with me, then clogging up the plughole afterwards! After sniffing a few of the ones on offer, I picked up an Avobath, and as soon as I took in the gorgeous, fruity aroma, I decided to buy it. ~About the product~ The name Avobath comes from the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I Fink I'll Av A Bath (318 words)

So another trip into one of my naughtiest shops resulted in me trying this little beauty. The Lush Avobath is a bath ballastic. What on earth are they, they sound demonic! A bath ballastic is dropped into your bathtub and gently fizzles away under the water, unleashing a potency of smells and aromas and soothing your senses in the process. Oh, it also makes you smell pretty good! There are quite a lot of Lush products which are all about relaxing you and indulging yourself at the end of a hard day, but not so many products which are supposed to wake you up and send you crazy. Step forward the Avobath. What's In It: The citric acid, and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Avobath: Make time to avobath (859 words)

It's been a long time since I've wrote on here, mainly cos as a rule my life style is too hectic to fit any dooyoo-ing in now. But if you think it's a long time since I've written a review, some of you might be shocked to know, it had been an even longer time since I'd been to Lush! Yes, the Lush addict, stayed firmly away from Lush for almost a year! That's what being a skint student will do to you. After working 11 days on the trot with a lot of the days being 8am till 11pm (no, I'm not exaggerating), there was only one place I was headed on my day off - LUSH!!! I needed pampering and relaxing big style. Whilst I was there I bought an Avobath bath ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Green glittery fizzy baff treat! (322 words)
by - written on 24/05/09 (Very useful, 2 readings)

Lush is always my first port of call for a lovely lovely bath goody. The bath ballistics are fabulous, handmade, preservative and packaging free bathroom delights that are packed full of essential oils and other fun stuff, such as seaweed, confetti hearts or little stars. Avobath is a little, subtly dressed green wonder, and I always fancied using it, but was temped by the more overly glitterly or bright pink offerings. Avo has a wondrous strong top note scent of lemongrass essential oil, which is capable of waking up Sleeping Beauty!! It is so refreshing and energising, and is defnitely effective as an alternative to a morning alarm!! As well as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Avobath: 'Ave a Bath with Avobath (885 words)

This is another of Lush's bath ballistics. I was given this for my christmas and was quite surprised. As you've probably guessed by now, I'm a bit of a Lush addict. I've used a lot of their products, I have a list of Lush items I want to try and I have read reviews on millions of others, yet still I'd never heard of the Avobath Ballistic before. Intrigued by the name on the label of the bright yellow bag, I opened it up to have a sniff. It smells very citrussy. I saw the green colour and half expected it to smell of lime, but it was definitely more of a lemony smell, but lovely and fresh. I had a feeling that it would be very good for waking you up ...  Read the complete review
