It's hard to believe it as I'm an addict now but this time last year I was a Lush virgin - since being introduced to Lush through reading opinions on Dooyoo I am now a regular visitor to the Southampton Store and am gradually making my way through a long list of products to try. Before I start I must apologise for this review being in the wrong place - the product I am reviewing is actually the Lush Carmen Miranda Soap and not the Lush Bamboo Soap as the category suggests. I normally purchase the bath ballistics and bubble bars but as I've built up quite a nice stock I decided to opt for something different this time, there were so many ... Read the complete review

This is the way we wash our hands, Wash our hands, Wash our hands, This is the way we wash our hands, On a cold and frosty morning. Recently the forum on the Lush website was discussing which products they wouldn’t mind being discontinued. As Lush has recently introduced a whole new batch of products, it was assumed that others would have to be dropped. I was surprised at the apparent hatred towards Bamboo soap, with lots of people naming it as one of their least favourites. As it was, the discontinued soaps from Lush are Red Rice (no great loss there), Pineapple Grunt (it’s okay, but I won’t shed any tears over its departure) ... Read the complete review

As a great fan of the Lush shops when I saw they had a new soap I had to try it. The Bamboo soap is deep green in colour and is produced in thick, round lengths. This is supposed to give the soap the appearance of a thick bamboo stem. I found that when the soap is new this shape makes it very difficult to use, as you can’t get a grip of the soap. For anybody with small hands this must be almost impossible to use and I suspect would need to be cut in half to make it useable. The soap does not produce hardly any lather, but does clean well. The fine pieces of bamboo in the soap act as a mild abrasive and clean off any stubborn dirt. This is not a ... Read the complete review

My mum went on a holiday to Malaysia, as most parents do she bought some presents for us all. She knows I like soaps so she bought me some Lush bamboo soap. On my first impression I wasn?t that impressed to be honest. WHAT IS BAMBOO LUSH SOAP It?s quite different from normal soap bars. It?s made from bamboo shoots and comes in a green soap bar. LOOKS It looked like a green block. It seemed quite rough. It?s quite thick and many ways looks like a thick branch. It?s considerably bigger than your average soap bar, both in thickness and in length. It is also heavier compared to say a dove bar. SMELL It had a very noticeable, far ... Read the complete review
