My mum went on a holiday to Malaysia, as most parents do she bought some presents for us all. She knows I like soaps so she bought me some Lush bamboo soap. On my first impression I wasn?t that impressed to be honest.

WHAT IS BAMBOO LUSH SOAP
It?s quite different from normal soap bars. It?s made from bamboo shoots and comes in a green soap bar.

LOOKS
It looked like a green block. It seemed quite rough. It?s quite thick and many ways looks like a thick branch. It?s considerably bigger than your average soap bar, both in thickness and in length. It is also heavier compared to say a dove bar.

SMELL
It had a very noticeable, far eastern smell. It was quite distinctiveness, if you think of Vosene which has quite a distinctive smell. The Lush Bamboo soap bar smelt exotic, fresh. I am told by mum that it contains hints of exotic flowers like minmosa. There was a definite smell to this bar and one that was quite soothing.

USE
You use the bamboo soap like any other bar. It does however require that extra bit of rub to create that lather. However, after using this soap bar your skin does feel smoother, smells better and your skin more radiant.
The Lush Bamboo soap contains calming ingredients like vetivert and styrax which helps to relive stress. It actually does relive stress because it has this calming influence on your body, which is perfect after a hard day?s work.

IN COMPARISON
This soap bar is totally different compared to the ?conventional? soap bars like Dove etc. It?s different in texture and it?s got this far eastern smell and feel to it. However, it works really well on your skin and you can smell the freshness throughout the day. It leaves your skin feeling revitalised, perfumed and fresh.
It also lasts a long time which is really good considering the fact that I am yet to locate one.

OVERALL
I was very pleased with the soap bars that my Mum brought me back-they were diff
erent to say the least. I particularly liked the Bamboo lush soap bar, it was different in complexion but worked really well on my skin. I would definitely buy this product again.
