... yellowy brown colour with little black speckles. I've since read other reviews on this product, which suggest that this is pretty much the norm. It's not the first Lush product I've bought that doesn't look much like its picture, which is quite annoying and something I wish Lush would sort out, but never mind, in every other way, this soap is gorgeous.... The soap contains organic yogurt and fresh organic bananas, but doesn't have the banana smell you might expect. Often I've found that products which are supposedly ban...more

Crowned Review Lush Banana Moon Soap: The Moon's a Banana (620 words)

I'm not normally a soap fan - in act I haven't touched a single part of my face or bod with the stuff for over 20 years. But while in the Edinburgh Lush shop at the weekend, I was looking for something to take home for my nephew who loves his baths. He also loves bananas, so Banana Moon Soap seemed the perfect choice. Like all Lush soaps, this one is made in an enormous big bar, of which you purchase a slice. They have some ready-sliced, or you can ask for it by weight at a cost of £1.40 per 100g. I bought a big, fat piece for just under four quid and took it (along with my other Lush purchases, totaling FORTY QUID, despite my having spent £20 the week ...  Read the complete review

The Banana Moon soap had been on my wish list of Lush products I wanted to try for some time, but I had never quite got round to buying it. A couple of months ago, I managed to get a bar from the swaps section of the Lush forum, and I adored it from the moment I got it, and that's partly the reason I saved it for so long - I felt it was too good to use!! This soap is from Lush's Retro range. This is a range of products which have been discontinued and are no longer available in the shops, however are now available to buy online only. I must admit, that with the quite a few of the Lush Retro products (but not all) that I have bought I have been ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Banana Moon Soap: Banana Surprise (943 words)

A lot of us pride ourselves on finding nice bubble baths and oils to put in our bath water. Although it’s important to me that my bath smells nice and I do like things a bit different to the norm, I also really like soaps that not only clean my skin, but look different and smell heavenly I find Dove and Lux nice but well…………………boring. I’m working my way through the Lush soaps at the moment and the company do a large range of soaps that are all that little bit different. Step into a Lush shop and your nose will be accosted with a mixture of smells, some fruity and some floral. The shops can be a little overpowering for some people unless you love strong ...  Read the complete review

I am a recent convert to liquid soaps, after hearing about all the germs that are harboured by your average bar. However, browsing the Lush website, I just had to try some of their soaps. I decided to buy three Lush soaps – Red Rooster, I Should Coco and this one, Banana Moon. Now this particular variety is actually my least favourite of the three, but it is still a very good product nonetheless. Lush suggest you don’t use soaps on your face, as they dry out your skin there. (They do make a special soap called Queen of Hearts Complexion soap especially suitable for the face though.) But Lush soaps are great for your hands and body, wherever ...  Read the complete review

Today I am going to tell you all about Lush Banana Moon soap. That’s if you haven’t already heard of it or even used it that is. This will be my last Lush opinion for a while as I am in danger of boring you all with my Lush addiction, lol. I can’t say it will be my last opinion on Lush products ever of coarse, cos that would be too hard for me. I am an avid Lush shopper after all. (teehee) I might as well tell you that I originally bought this for my boyfriends Mum as a pressie. She has a tendency towards dry skin and I thought this might help! She gave it the thumbs up – in fact she raved about it and went and got ...  Read the complete review
