Advantages: Gorgeous smells; Moisturising
Disadvantages: None
A lot of people think the bath bombs from Lush are a waste of money because you're paying between £2.50 and £3.00 for one coloured bath that might or might not soften your skin, but I think they're wicked and like to buy myself a few every time I go to Lush.
There's loads of different ones to choose from, some are plain bombs and others have bits of glitter and stuff in them that livens your bath water up. I prefer the ones that just colour the water because bits just make a mess in the bath, but I like the seaweed in the Big Blue ballistic because it goes dead good with the fresh seaside smell of it.
My fave one at the minute is called Vanilla Fountain and that's a lovely sweet ballistic that smells of vanilla and has got a vanilla pod sticking out of the top. It leaves my skin proper soft but makes the water yellow like you've had a wee in the bath! Another sweet one is Blackberry Bath Bomb, it smells unsuprisingly of blackberries and is very sweet and fruity and turns the water Ribena colour.
The classic bath ballistics I think are Honey Bee, Sex Bomb, Big Blue and Butterball. The Butterball one is very greasy and I'm not mad keen on that one because the cocoa butter is too heavy on my skin, it doesn't make my skin feel much softer even though it's got such a lot of moisturisers in it. I love Honey Bee because it smells of honey and I think it makes the water lovely and soft and leaves me with very soft and smooth skin. Sex Bomb I always think is a bit of a disappointment because it looks so pretty but I think the smell is proper boring and it doesn't do a lot for my skin, it's got quite a strong jasmine smell when the ballistic is still dry but the smell gets proper weak when you put it in the bath water and that's a shame I think.
If you want flowery smells then I reckon Sakura or Tisty Tosty are the best ones I've tried. Tisty Tosty has got a lovely rose smell and has got 7 rose buds inside it that open out a bit in the bath water, I love this one even though I'm not mad keen on the smell of rose usually. Sakura is a weird one because it smells flowery like jasmine but it's got a lovely citrus smell as well. Both of these are wickedly moisturising and I think having a bath in either of these ballistics is very relaxing, it must be the floral oils they use because if I have a bath in Sakura or Tisty Tosty I sleep a lot better when I go to bed.
I love ballistics and wish I could use a different one every night. They change the range quite regular but at the minute there are 17 ballistics that are available all the time, they are bringing new ones out for Xmas and I've already tried a couple and they're wicked this year. If you buy your Lush goodies online you can browse the retro ballistics and try some that were popular in the past but have been discontinued for some reason. My fave retro one is Hot Java because it has got a delish spicy smell and is relaxing and proper moisturising, mind you I'm not mad keen on the twiggy bits that come out of this ballistic when it fizzes away!
Summary: Bath Ballistics Aren't A Waste Of Money For Me, I Love Them!
