Advantages: very relaxing
Disadvantages: doesn't look very exciting
After reading so many different opinions about Lush I decided it was time to find out what all the fuss was about. As I work in Birmingham I went into the Lush store in the City Centre. When I walked into the shop the various smells were amazing. I looked around at the toiletry and cosmetic items on display and did not know where to start. As well as the smells, the different colours and shapes of the products were intriguing. Luckily the assistants in the Lush store in Birmingham are very friendly and I was given a very informative tour of the shop. I wanted to look at the Bath Ballistics and the assistant explained what each one contained. I decided to buy the Fizzy O Therapy Bath Ballistic. It doesn't look very exciting as it is a small beige round ball and it smells very spicy. The reason I chose it was because it stated on the display that it eases aches and pains. The thought of relaxing in a hot bath after a particular stressful day at work is what clinched it for me. Lush state that Fizzy O Therapy Bath Ballistic is ideal for runners to soothe and relax the muscles after exercising. It is also intended to relax if you are feeling tense. This sounded just what I was looking for so I couldn’t wait to try it out. I ran a hot bath and put it in. It fizzed straight away and turned the water slightly brown and there were some bubbles as it fizzed that had a brown tinge to them that did not look particularly inviting. This did not put me off so I got into the bath. The smell was very spicy, not like any other bubble bath or bath salts I had tried. It was not a feminine or a masculine smell, but it was not unpleasant either. The few bubbles there were had disappeared and the ballistic had dissolved completely. After a few minutes in the bath I could feel my calf muscles tingling and I did feel relaxed with a warm glow in my leg muscles. I got out of the bath feeling less tense and the tingling and the warm gl
owed remained. The spicy smell did not seem to linger on my skin afterwards. After the water had all gone I was not left with a brown rim around the bath or anything. I could feel a few remnants of the ballistic on the sides of the bath, which swilled away easily when I ran some cold water. Highly recommended. The Fizzy O Therapy Bath Ballistic costs £1.30. The ingredients are: - Sodium Bicarbonate Citric Acid Ginger Powder Mustard Powder Clove bud oil Cinnamon leaf oil Coriander oil Perfume For more information, to find your nearest store or order online the website is www.lush.co.uk Telephone number 01202 668 545
