Well most of you that know me will know that I have a serious addiction, that is for Lush and beleive me this girl can't get enough!, so here is a little bit about my favourite ballistic so far, the superb Street Party...


WHATS A BALLISTIC THEN??

Well if you?re a male Dooyer'erer it's bad news!! To us females a Lush ballistic can only be described of one of the most pleasurable experiences in life..
Ok well a ballistic is actually another name for a bath bomb.

APPEARANCE

This little treasure was actually made for the Queens Jubilee, and is creamy white in colour, with a little union jack attached to its outside, and lots of easy to spot particles of red, white and blue glitter throughout, also multi coloured stars catch your eye.

SNIFF TEST

This smells divine, not too strong but it is easy to detect the aroma of Lavender and litsea cubeba oil,which for anyone like me who wouldn't have a clue that is lemon!.

It is one that is certainly appealing both visually and after a close sniff, just to recap remember all the products in the Lush shop are all naked, erm I mean unwrapped, so you can not only handle them but sniff them to your hearts content, so you know exactly what you are getting!.

WEIGHT/PRICE

This ballistic weighs a generous 200g and will cost you £1.95, eek that?s a lot I hear you cry ,but wait once you experience this you will certainly not find another bath experience for as little as that believe me!

Ok now your appetites are suitably wet, lets get down to it the bath of course..


Firstly I recommend that you run the bath first before adding your ballistic, in you go then, right are you sitting comfortably?

Ok go for it, pop it in and prepare to be amazed!

What happens is
as the bal
listic is packed with bicarbonate of soda it fizzes and whizzes round the water, dissolving rapidly as it goes.

Now this is the good bit as it dissolves the generous aroma fills your bathroom, and the contents of the ballistic fill your bath!

Now at this part I was absolutely gob smacked at the amount of glitter that was coming out of this one thing, the bath was full of it and then the finale, as the bath bomb disperses you get the hidden shock, the centre is full of paper streamers!, these get caught up in the mini whirlpool and distribute themselves throughout your bath!!

So here I am sitting in the middle of a bath full of glitter, that smells gorgeous as there are no artificial preservatives in these products, just the genuine oils, remember these are not bubble baths so the water is perfectly clear, this is fantastic all you need is some candles and you lay there watching all the glitter sparkling .

I actually found the streamers a bit annoying as they kept breaking up into bits and I did take most out but the glitter I absolutely loved, I sat there for ages trying to catch the larger red, white and blue stars and arranged them all round the rim of my bath!!!, erm don't ask why I did it ,It was just something that you did on impulse!( ok so know you know how weird I am eh ;-)

This leaves you feeling incredibly relaxed after you step out, well if you can drag yourself out that is!.
Just bear in mind that this would not be necessarily suitable if you had to go to work the next day as the glitter does tend to stick to you and you will find it gets in the strangest places as well, so be warned!!


The only draw back is that is does leave your bath in a bit of a mess, especially if the streamers have disintegrated, they tend to block your plughole rather, but even this wouldn't put me off, I want more and more and more of these and hope they don't take them off soon as I will
be gutted!!

This so
far is my favourite Lush Bath product, of course there are a lot more ballistics for me to try yet, but I have to say I am steered to anything glittery and already tried another glitter ballistic, but didn't enjoy it as much as this one.
