Advantages: smells lovely, moisturises, good price

Disadvantages: No lush shop in my town

Last week, I went to Meadowhall for my birthday. My fiancé wanted to buy me some extra pressies. After a stop at H&M, we went straight to Lush. I was quite disappointed that there wasn't much new until I spotted this in the Bath Ballistics section of the shop. I sure do love my baths. I love to smell nice. I like my skin to feel soft. With Lush Bath Ballistics, I combine them all into one.

* What are Bath Ballistics *

You might have heard the word Bath Bombs but this is Lush's extra special version called Bath Ballistics. They may vary in size but they are balls of bicarbonate of soda that are crammed with lovely essential oils and unlike a stink bomb, the "stink" from these bombs have the most wonderful aromas. They make your bath pretty to look at, relaxing and leave your skin soft and creamy.

* Lush Big Blue Ballistic *

Now, that I've explained what these balls are, we can get back to the Big Blue. So I stare at it. I know it's not new as I have seen it before but it never had sparked my interest until that moment. The Big Blue is the size of cricket ball, weighs 200g and it's a beautiful aqua/turquoise blue colour with hints of white. It has bit of seaweed that stick of the ball that add to its beauty. I'm still stunted on how I missed this before on my shopping trip into Lush.

I pick it up carefully as I don't want the whole stand of Big Blue Ballistic balls to come crashing down on me. I take a sniff. A lovely aroma of lavender and something else I can't place that I found out later was lemon, filled my nostrils. Yummy good enough to it. It's one of those smells that you want to wrap up and take everywhere. I rushed to the till with my purchases and was eager to get home to test it out. We arrived home but it was too late to have my bath. Boohoo.

Tonight, I finally got to test this divine ballistic. I ran my bath as normal and plop it in the bath. It started to fizz straight away. The water started to turn blue. A beautiful ocean blue. The bits of seaweed were starting to fall out of it and the aroma became stronger. I stepped into the bath before the ball stopped fizzing. It felt lovely but strange in my hand. I looked at the water. Ocean blue with the seaweed floating around you. When you think of seaweed, you imagine big lumps of it on a smelly beach (I live near the seaside and the seaweed there smells horrible) but not this seaweed. It is chopped into small bits that are about two inches long. The bits floating in the bath looked a bit like those tiny black fish that you see in beautiful blue oceans. I sat back and I smelt the wonderful lavender. I closed my eyes, imagining myself in a swimming pool somewhere warm. The water is lovely and the sun is beating down upon me. I get shocked back into reality as my neighbour's children yell and shout. Ugh, shouldn't they be in bed now? As I relaxed and eased myself even more into the water and try and forget the neighbours, another smell hit me. A hint of salt. I swished the water around with my legs and the seaweed swirled all over. I breathed in deep as a new wave of the fresh smelling lavender and lemon hits me. I think that the lemon oil gives it that fresh tang and both the oils together are brilliant combination.

After about half an hour of soaking and looking a bit like a prune, I get out the bath. Some the seaweed sticks to my legs but I just rub it off with my towel. My skin feels really moisturised. I didn't even need to put on my body lotion that I used after my baths. My mum came into the bathroom a few minutes later and said "What a wonderful smell". When you pull the plug, remember to wash away the bits of seaweed. Also you might get a slight ring of blue around your bath, which is really easy to swipe off with a flannel or a bit of toilet roll.

* My thoughts *

I love this bath ballistic. It smells so wonderful and it's not bad for the price of £2.50. The annoying thing is that my town doesn't have a Lush but there's always their website. I think I will be on there ordering a few more because silly me only got one in case I didn't like it.

I adore lush! unfortunately i live in a houseshare that has a horrible bathroom, so i tend to just stick with showers and get out asap. but as soon as i get a nice relaxing bathroom i'm back to the ballistics. i will definately try this 'flavour'

I love Big Blue now - didn't used to like it but it was one of those which always ended up in my basket. Think I forced it on myself! lol
