... glueing techniques as whenever they attempt to glue stuff onto soap it always back fires. But don't worry people, much like Demon In the Dark Soap which features a preservative coating of black wax, you're supposed to peel the wax away anyway. So other than being an eye sore in the shop, no harm done, right? Well you wouldn't think so but due to the fact that this soap is so quick to melt, peeling back the red wax can be a bit of a problem. As for the soap itself, while Lush says its fragrance as simply possess...more

Premium Review Lush Bob Soap: Deliciously Spicy - But Worth The Mess? (293 words)
by - written on 28/04/08 (Very useful, 30 readings)

From November onwards I stalk the counters of my local Lush looking for this stuff. It is my very favourite soap. The smell is made up of oranges, cinnamon, cloves and black pepper according to the packet, although I must confess that all my uneducated nose could describe it as is "a lovely warm spicy smell". I've never been one to enjoy floral smells in soap - a spicy smell that actually makes me hungry while bathing suits me down to the ground. According to the Lush website it's also made from natural and organic ingredients. The soap you can see in the picture here comes coated in a red wax however, and here is where our problems start. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bob....your dumped (791 words)

I thought after writing a review about Christmas Carol I would continue the Christmas theme reviewing! Just for today only! In the run up to any major holiday Lush bring out limited edition items which usually consist of soap, bubble bars, ballistics and anything else that takes their fancy. They are usually available for up to 2 months both in store and online. But once that particular holiday is over, thats it all items are either sold off in a sale or they disappear completely. Bob soap was a limited edition back in Christmas 2006 and it was part of a theme, other products included Bling Crosby, Ol'Blue Skies. Bob soap was named in tribute to Bob Hope. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Bob Soap: Oh baby it's cold outside! (190 words)

When your chilly use Bob! This perfect, pretty Christmas soap smells wonderful and leaves you feeling warm and spicy. Each chunk of Bob Soap is pretty and seasonal coloured with Christmas tree green and red and adorned with green and gold glitter. It is scented with Oranges, Cinnamon, cloves and Black Pepper. I really like using Bob in the shower. It is great to use in the winter when it is cold. I find that Bob feels nice and smooth on my skin- the glitter doesn't make it feel funny of irritate the skin. I didn't find it to have that much lather but I could see where i had washed myself as a brown trail had been left. The trail was also left in the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not the best christmas soap. (307 words)

I am sat here with two chunks of this soap, a 100g bar that came in a gift box last year and another that has been half used and then returned to it's original Lush plastic bag. The green mess that it leaves over my body and my bath can still be seen on the sides of the bag, and i'm not really prepared to use this soap again in a hurry. This soap is glittery in appearance at first, and it does smell lovely - it has a sort of spicey, warm scent that has a hint of fruityness and is appealing to use in the long winter months. It's green colour does look pretty cool, both of mine do not have the redness in it as the picture shows but I guess that's just the luck of the draw. ...  Read the complete review
