Lush Butterball Bath Ballistic

Description: Brand: Lush / Type: Bath Salt

... fizzed appealingly as I dropped it in the running bath. When it had dissolved I was slightly put off by the slivers of cocoa butter floating at the top of the bath like grease - the ballistic doesn't have any bubbles which is a bit of a shame but I guess it's more of a functional one rather than a jazzy pretty bubbly one! I had my bath, and the water felt 'softer' than usual, if that makes any sense! There was a nice albeit faint smell of vanilla. When I got out of the bath my skin felt really soft, in fact I didn't nee...more

Premium Review Lush Butterball Bath Ballistic: Brilliant Butter Ballistic (563 words)

My daughters both suffer from dry skin with the eldest having had severe eczema when she was younger, so bad at times her full body had to be covered with bandages bathed in zinc ointment. They are still children who want to put things in their baths to make bubbles, change colour or smell, so I have to be extremely careful what I allow them to have. In the past I have tried bath foams targeted at dry skins sufferers, but their skin always feels slightly scaly afterwards which to me indicates that the moisture has been stripped from their skin. I am a huge Lush fan, and on my last visit to stock up on goodies I was chatting to the assistant about the girls' skin ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review My Favourite Ball of All (713 words)

The very first product that I bought for myself from Lush was a Butterball. I'd heard a lot about the store and never really understood what all the fuss was about (see my review of the store), and then I went in there, and fell in love with the products. This one though quite plain and simple compared to some that Lush sell, is my absolute all time favourite. A bath ballistic is the same as what most shops would call a bath bomb, it's a ball of smells and fizzing stuff that when dropped into your bath fizzes and lets loose all it's niceness into the water. (My hubby doesn't like me putting them in unless he's there to watch them fizzing lol, I think it's ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Butterball Bath Ballistic: I felt Like A Basted Turkey Ready For The Oven And I'm Vegg ... (790 words)

This one is just ok...... Part of The Ballistic range at Lush these are tennis ball shaped bath bombs which fizz like giant Alka Seltzers in the bath, and release aromas to create a soothing or uplifting ambience, depending on your mood and choice of product. The Butterball is one of the smallest and plainest looking balls, and it would be easy to miss it as it nestles on shelving in alcoves along with its more colourful relatives, many with rather exciting colours or contents. There are no bubbles with this, you have to select the bubble slices range for this feature, but this is a little round ball which is white with tiny pale brown flecks, and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review You can't butter me up (1061 words)

Ok so I'm getting withdrawal symptoms from not writing a Lush review for over a week! In the latest instalment of "The strangest thing happened in a Lush store the other day" I was sniffing around the bath ballistics and I was drawn not to the bright and pretty looking ones but to the large basket of one of the smallest and cheapest (£2.20) products - Butterball. And amazingly I managed to pick them up and get to the till before I was seduced into buying something else by those sirens called Lush shop assistants. I have to say that I am not really a fan of the ballistics range - in my experience they either stain your bath, leave it covered in oily ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Butterball Bath Ballistic: I've been all buttered up! (707 words)

Before I joined Dooyoo I had never heard of Lush before (I know, I think I was on another planet!), but after reading so many glowing reviews, I knew I had to try their range of products for myself. I dropped many hints, including our local store location to my husband, as our 7th wedding anniversary was coming up. On that day I became the proud owner of my very own Gift box from Lush called Serenity, which included the Butterball Bath Ballistic. The Price I got mine in a gift set but the latest price from the 'Lush Times' (which is their catalogue) is £2.20. Appearance To me who has only used little bath bombs before, this round oval ...  Read the complete review
