Advantages: Its a great soap, moisturises, softens

Disadvantages: It can melt easily

Just before Easter Lush came out with quite a few new vanilla based products, including dusting powder, lip balm to name just a few but it also came out with a new soap, called Chox Away. It's chocolate-based, smells a little like an After Eight dinner mint, but isn't sickly sweet (plus, it has other notes in it that make it gorgeous!). It is made with real white and dark chocolate, as well as vanilla absolute and sweet orange and mint oils. The scent is quite mellow! It's a very rich, moisturising soap, as it is enriched with rapeseed, coconut and sunflower oil. Very creamy.

It no glitter or scrubby bits that may leave a mess. It is a pale brown colour and has no decoration on it which is unusual for Lush soaps. The texture is quite smooth and it does seem like the kind of soap which would melt quickly in the shower. As soon as I got it out of it's little paper bag it had marked and I noticed that once it had been in my hand it was quite easy to squeeze!!

Due to its lack of exfoliating bits this soap in easy to use and does not irritate skin at all. I found the lather to feel quite silky on the skin, and was pleased to find it is very moisturising.

I was very drawn to the smell of this soap in the store (thats if you can smell it over all the other products!!). I couldn't work out why until I got hope and applied my Honey Trap lip balm. The scents are pretty much the same! I like the soft sweet smell of Honey Trap and am so pleased that Chox Away smells like it.

The scent has a slight hint of chocolate in the background; mostly you can smell hints of vanilla, an almost caramel aroma and the mint and orange hover in the background. It does smell good enough to eat. The smell isn't very long lasting, however the moisturising properties are. Althought i'm not a fan of vanilla (everytime I think of it it reminds me of a car airfreshner!) the scent was amazling mellow and wasn't sickly or overbearing.

Unlike some of other soaps which dry out my skin, Chox Away left it feeling soft and lovely. However due to the moisturising properties of this soap it can quite easily melt so if your like me and chop your soap into smaller pieces, make sure you put them away and not near any water as you may find them the next day as a piece of mush!!

If you've ever tried Heavenly Bodies (one of Lush's posh soap Butter Creams) you will find this is just as nice without the mess that chocolate curls leave everywhere. I would go far enough to say that Chox Away is my new favourite soap!

Lush's description of this soap is quite long...too long I think. Basically it boils down to the fact that every now and then you have to do something. They try and do everything internal travel wise (as flying is bad for the environment) yet sometimes you just have to get on a plane! And chocolate is the same, it isn't that good for us but we do it every now and again because we like the results.

Chox Away soap is available for £2.89 per 100g, not cheap really. However I think it is worth every penny. I even skipped the moisturising afterwards as my skin really didn't need it. Please note this product is not vegan, luckily it is vegetarian like all other Lush products.

I usually steer well clear of chocolate scented products as they usually smell very artificial. But Lush got the scent just right for me- it is sweet without being sickly and the fact that it leaves skin so soft has got me hooked. I will be taking this on holiday with me! If you like Honey Trap lip balm then this is the soap for you! I do hope this soap is here to stay and isn't just an Easter thing.

I think this may well knock Miranda Soap off it's pole position as my best soap!! This a great soap, cheaper than some of the others and it really made a nice effect on my skin. I will definately be stocking up on this one though as it may well be a limited edition!!!

Summary: All of the above!
