... was informed that after xmas they were doing behind the counter £!5 goody bags. Not advertised, but had to be requested. I told the Mrs to go in and get a couple, afterall it was to contain atleast £30-£50 worth of items, and knowing she likes the stuff, thats excellent value (and saves a couple of items over a few months being bought to total above and beyond that) Well one of the items we got in our bags was a huge slice of cake, unfortuantely its not edible, afterall surely I hadn't eaten enough fruti cake ove...more

Premium Review Lush Christmas Cake Slice Soap: Not very Lush! (545 words)

As well as being a chocaholic, I am also a big fan of cake. I particularly like Christmas cake, especially the one my husband's Grandmother makes us each year. I have hinted that she could make them all through the year, but no, apparently unlike dogs, they're just for Christmas. With that in mind I was quite pleased when I opened a Lush Yuletide giftbox and there nestled among the popcorn and the crumpled 10% off voucher was a lump of Christmas cake soap. **Appearance** Now let's make this clear. The piece of soap I have looks nothing like the picture above. That piece looks exactly like a piece of Christmas cake, complete with ...  Read the complete review

I was so excited on my birthday because I knew I was getting £200 quid off me step-dad to get the Ghds I'd been gagging for, for months. I didn't actually expect anything else present wise to be fair lol I did get a few other things however but the presents I loved receiving the most were some that when I picked up the gift wrap was a familiar shape and the aroma was very telling as to where they came from! I am a huge Lush fan. My Mother is not. At 63 she feels the place is very confusing and that it's overpriced so knowing my Mum had gone in all confused looking for things for me actually made me cry to be honest lol However I've noticed lately I've had a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Christmas Cake Slice Soap: I think I'll stick to eating cake! (674 words)

The Christmas Cake Soap Slice is one of three Lush Christmas soaps this year, and the only one I've bought - so far. I saw the pictures of the full block of this, and it looked amazing - like a huge iced Christmas cake with pieces of red and green in it, and despite thinking the scent might be a little spicy for my tastes, I had to order a slice! When my piece arrived, it did not have the white layer of 'icing' on the top, and the red and green blocks I had seen on the picture were nowhere to be seen either. Instead I had a dark brown soap, with little white bits flecked in it. In fact, when I first saw this, I actually thought the white bits were mould, but ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review You can have your cake and wash with it too, but would you w ... (324 words)

I received this soap as part of the "Christmas Present" gift set for Christmas this year and I decided to start using it first as it is Christmas-appropriate. I got a long slab of it, without the white part pictured, and not shaped like a cake slice either, just rectangular, which I think is a good thing as it is much easier to hold in the shower than a piece shaped like a cake slice would probably be! It is mostly brown with black bits but has some coloured sections like pieces of fruit in a real cake, red and green and orangey. It smells like cake too - at first I didn't think I liked it but it has grown on me. This soap lathers quite ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Christmas Cake Slice Soap: Lush Christmas Cake - Look but don't touch (290 words)

I recieved a large piece of lush's christmas cake soap in a £5 lush grabbit bag I purchased after christmas. This is not really something I would buy again but then it is really just a christmas themed novelty soap. The soap is supposed to resemble a piece of christmas cake with a brown section and a white and yellow section. The piece I recieved was missing the top part and so just a large brown chunk of soap. The soap came wrapped in white thin paper with a sticky label on the bottom describing the ingredients and the name of the soap. I'm not sure this is the best packaging because it seems like it could easily tear if it had got wet and been raining ...  Read the complete review

Fantastic smell, exciting Lush experience Bits in the plughole (it's worth it)

Nice long-lasting fragrance, lingers on your skin and in bathroom More of a invigorating product than a relaxing one

Not too expensive and it does its job. Plain fragrance, no bubbles.

I didn't pay for it! Smells like kitchen/bathroom cleaner. Nothing special.

gets skin clean, leaves it soft, a bit of a novelty I'm not keen on the smell
