Where was all the sparkles, the traditional Christmas colouring? After looking back at Lush's Christmas limited editions this bar looked extremely out of place and really if it did have the engraving if could have been something that would have been bought all year round! Yet another review on a Christmas product in May! I do have reason behind what seems like madness! Because I use so many Lush products a week it takes a while to get a review on pretty much every product I have used and unfortunately the products I have just so happened to miss out are the Christmas ones! So here goes! I have to admit that even though The Christmas Massage bar was only a limited edition for Christmas 2005 and 2006 I actually had mine in 2008. I am a big fan of lush massage bars. Not just for massage purposes but for their moisturising effect. They are fantastic to smooth over your skin after your bath or shower instead of a moisturiser. It takes a couple of minutes to absorb but normally has fully sunk in by the time you have done your hair! The christmas massage bar is my favourite because I love christmas and this smells just like christmas should smell. It is like rolling around in a christmas cake whilst having a food fight with chrismas pudding. I’m not the biggest fan of Christmas, it has to be said. I think it’s become too commercial and the run up to Christmas seems to start earlier and earlier every year, sometimes so early as to overshadow my birthday in late September, which won’t do at all. However, the one thing I do like about Christmas is things like mulled wine and that cinnamon is quite a traditional spice for that time or year, as it means that time of year smells wonderful, even if the over commercial nature of the season stinks.
