Advantages: Smells like sherbert
Disadvantages: only available at Christmas
Having just found this in my Lush box where I store all my goodies I am sooooo dissapointed to find it was only a Christmas Limited Edition, suppose its one more reason to look forward to next Christmas eh?
Lush Christmas Morning Bubble Bar is bright pink with all coloured paper popping out, to use you crumble under running water to leave a mound of bubbles and a pink bath. I only use half of one at a time and this seems sufficient to colour the water and create enough bubbles. When crumbling it did leave my hands a neon orangey/pink colour but fortunately it didnt stain.
The smell reminded me of orange sherbert, or love heart sweets. A mixture of sweet and citrus, lovely!!! One of the things that put me off this bubble bar is that the paper looks like it would go soggy in my bath, but they appeared to just dissolve after a while so didnt bother me.
As with all bubble bars my skin feels slightly softer after using, but this isnt the main purpose of the product, I think its more of a fun bath product.
Due to this being a Christmas product I dont know the exact price as I would have got it in a gift set, however most of the bubble bars retail at around £3. So a little pricey but great as a treat.
Lush explain the reason for making solid bubble bars rather than liquid is because it doesnt need preservatives, and also it is more fun and appealing to have a bright funny shaped novelty bar!
Summary: A perfect bathtime treat!

- 21/06/09 I disliked this bubble bar :(. Good review and welcome to dooyoo!
Bubble bars are also made to prevent the usage of plastic bottles for bubble bath. |
