Advantages: Only wasted £1.95 instead of £2.95
Disadvantages: Read the review....
Having just spent a good portion of my student loan in Lush this afternoon my next few reviews are going to be based on my daily baths...tonight was the debut of Cinders.
I usually go for pink candy scented lush products such as snow fairy, marshmellow met etc but due to Cinders being promoted as popping candy for your bath I was sold on a gimmick....yes I am gullable.
The first thing that struck me was how small in comparrison to the other ballistics this was, this was reflected in the price though, £1.95 seems like a bargain compared to the average £3 mark.
Its described as being a spicy, soda scented Ballistic that crackles like a roaring fire. So I popped it into my bath and waited for the magic to happen....and waited .....and waited.
I have to say I was dissapointed, I heard no crackle or pop just the usual hiss of a ballistic, however due to the tiny nature this didnt last as long. The bath turned a funny yellow colour, and if im being honest and I had got in this bath after someone else I would have accused them of peeing in it. The smell wasn't as stong as I'm used to and you had to get your nose right into it to get any of the spicy notes. As expected it didn't leave any scent on my skin afterwards.
When I had a sniff in Lush it smelt lovely, spicy like a combination of sweets and cinnamon. It's just a shame this dissapeared upon contact with water. It may have been more appealing if there was more of the crackle in the ballistic or even some confetti/stars etc, just something to liven up quite a dull product.
Not a ballistic I will use again, but fortunately for me I've got another £50 worth of products to restore my faith in Lush!!!
Summary: Give it a miss
