Advantages: Smell isn't too over-powering, works wonders on the skin, lasts a long time

Disadvantages: None

When it comes to Lush products there is nothing I will not try, having tried and tested pretty much everything on offer and if you are ever unsure about a product then do ask the sales assistant for a trial pot of that product because they are always quite happy to oblige and over my time of shopping with Lush, I think every product I have purchased such as a cream, lotion or lip balm has come from me trying a tester pot of it first. One of the reasons I shop at Lush is because I have dry sensitive skin, so I have to be careful about which products I purchase to avoiding breaking out in a red itchy rash which has to be cured with a series of more creams from my Doctor.

Now as the weather has become quite cold and I'm not feeling too great being full of cold, with a sore throat and cough to match, I needed something to cheer to me and whilst I am delighted there is a lot of fabulous new products to try and test, all of which made it into my basket, I decided to try a new body cream which is called Coco Lotion, I'm sure it is a slight play on the Kylie hit locomotion.

In the past I have tried many Lush body creams, lotions and hand creams, so I am quite aware of what I am paying for in that respect and not to mention I have never been left feeling disappointed by anything I have purchased within that range of products. Coco Lotion is advertised with the statement "Lavish lashings all over your hands and body for toned, brightened, smoother skin". I do suffer from very dry, particularly at this time of the year when I have pay much closer attention to the tone and dryness of my skin around my cheeks, forehead, shins and elbows, so I was hoping that a new product would not only cheer me up, but actually work as well as other products I would normally buy and use.

As with many Lush products, Coco Lotion comes in a black tub with an easy twist off lid which is tightly sealed to keep all of the luscious aromas within and to also stop the cream from drying out. Inside the tub you will notice the thick off white cream which reminded me of a tub of yoghurt and the fragrance was a little more subtle than I thought it would be, but very pleasant and quite fruity at the same time. One of the issues a lot of non-lush-a-holics have made to me over a lot of the reviews I have written is the overpowering smell Lush shops have on their senses and yes and they expect the products to be the same, whilst I agree it is rather potent and over-powering, once inside the shop you don't actually notice it and this is one of those less over-powering smelly products that you should buy, or order online.

Lush 'Coco Lotion' is full of lovely natural ingredients starting with Extra Virgin Coconut Oil which is not only a great moisturiser for the skin it also helps to reduce the symptoms which are often associated with psoriasis, eczema as it gives a natural balance to the skin. Mandarin Oil and Rosemary oil are also used and both are quite versatile oils because it helps with stretch marks, increasing circulation and reducing fluid retention. Sesame Seed oil, although not a popular ingredient for Lush as it features in only a few of their products, but it is known for its soothing and moisturising properties and like Coconut Oil is also good for reducing the symptoms of skin problems like psoriasis and eczema. Fresh Pineapple Juice is the last ingredient from a huge list that I am going to mention and it is used because when used on the skin bromelain and the citric, and malic acids which occur naturally within pineapples help to remove dead skin cells and dirt from the skins surface, both of which often lead to further skin complaints and as well as doing that, they leave the skin looking and feeling refreshed and it is an ingredient which can be found in quite a few Lush products particularly skin lotions and shampoo's.

To use this cream the one thing to remember is that it is quite a thick texture so you will only need a small amount. You will notice that upon application it does appear to be slightly greasy in touch, however this cream does absorb itself very quickly and leaves behind no greasy feelings on the skin and you can still smell the fresh fruity aroma on your hands and body for a little while after using it with the smell lingering very slightly. I have also used this product on my face even though that isn't what it has been designed for and I have to admit it does work exceptionally well, it doesn't make my skin any greasier and it deals with the dryness on my cheeks better than some of the creams I have been prescribed to use by my doctor.

Lush 'Coco Lotion' costs £8.50 for a 225g pot, which in itself is quite large, some people may feel that it is a little on the expensive side in comparison to other creams you can buy in your high street stores, however, for me this does exactly what I want it to do, it does exactly what it says it is going to do and it lasts a very long time because you only need to use such a small amount at any time.

So does it work? Well I have to say that my skin certainly is not as dry as it has been which is a remarkable improvement. There is nothing worse than having legs that look like they have had a going over by sandpaper because they are so dry and I am happy to say that my legs are as smooth as smooth can be and the same goes for my arms, and body. For £8.50 a tub, Lush Coco Lotion works well as a stand-in for other products such as Johnson's Baby Lotion, BeneFit 'Body so fine' or my trusted favourite Soap and Glory moisturising cream which costs half of what Coco Lotion does.

So would I recommend this product? I absolutely would without a shadow of a doubt, I've tried and tested 'Coco Lotion' and can't recommend it highly enough. It also lasts a really long time, I use it every other day after showering in an evening, usually before I go to bed and having used to for just over a month I am probably a third of the way through the tub and I apply it to my arms, legs, torso and neck but have used it on my face twice as well.

Also as someone with super sensitive skin I would also suggest using any Lush products, but I would advise you to go onto their website and check the ingredients used, they are listed under each product so it is easy to find out.

**Extra Information**

As Coco Lotion contains some essential oils; you should consult with your doctor before using it if you are pregnant or epileptic because you may suffer a reaction from using this.
