Advantages: Smells gorgeous, relaxing, very glittery!
Disadvantages: Being very glittery might be a disadvantage to some!
I've been a lover of all things Lush for over 10 years now, and this twinkly little ballistic (Lush's name for a bath bomb) was one of the first things I tried, and from then on in it soon became one of my favourite items to buy everytime I went into a Lush store.
A while back it was discontinued, but such was the uproar and mass begging for it's return, it didn't stay discontinued for very long much to the joy of it's army of fans, me included! It did however only make a come back to the Retro section on the Lush website and not to the High Street Shops, but it's a start, and us Fairy Jasmine fans can still get our fix somewhere!
Love glitter? You do? Good, you need to with this ballistic! It's the most twinkliest, glitteriest and sparkliest one by far, this lovely lilac bath bomb is crammed full of glitter, no word of a lie when I say you'll be shimmering for days after, that glitter really does get everywhere! If you hate glitter, then I would advise you to avoid this one like the plague as it won't be the one for you!
It's a brilliant one to use before a night out, as the glitter just sticks to you, it's like you've applied one of those glitter gels across your shoulders and arms, it's irredescent and catches the light as you move.
I would say primarily the glitter is the reason that most people purchase this ballistic for, but it also smells pretty good too. Obviously Jasmine is the main scent, but there is also a more sweeter edge to it too, which makes it a very floral feminine scent. The Jasmine flower is especially good for relieving stress and PMS symptoms and according to the Lush website, it is also an affrodisiac too, so plenty of reasons there to pop one in your basket - your virtual one of course!
On top of all that, it's also very gentle on your skin and not at all drying, which is surprising with all that glitter in, but it's true, some bath products can leave your skin dry and crying out for the moisturiser, but not this one, this just leaves it soft to the touch with a lovely scent that lasts for hours and doesn't fade away as soon as you step out of the bath water.
One thing that is a pain though, is the mess it makes of your bath tub, but this is to be expected from an item that is so packed full of glitter, there's no avoiding it. One thing you can do to help minimise it though is to add a squirt of bubble bath/shower gel before adding the ballistic to the water as this helps whatever is inside it not to cling to the sides of the tub. Personally though, I love this ballistic so much that this doesn't bother me as it's easily wiped down and causes much amusement when the other half then has a bath later on and comes out looking like the glitter fairy ;)
This is one of the more expensive ones at £3.50 for 200g which is an average sized one. I'm not sure if it has always been that price, I remember it being quite pricey compared to some of the others, but I think it is now even more so due to it being in the Retro section.
Well worth it though for a pamper and relaxation session before an evening out or even if you just need some 'me time' and to de-stress.
Summary: One of Lushes finest Ballistics!
