They say the way to a mans heart is through his stomach; well the way to mine is with a Lush package. So before the festive season had begin I went to select some gifts for some friends of mine in the hope of persuading that Lush is simply fantastic and whilst doing my seasonal shop I was delighted with numerous samples that I had been given. The first product I was eager to try was the Figs and Leaves exfoliating soap which I was hoping would be a miracle cure for my tired looking hands which had become dry and slightly flaky on the palms. My body exfoliator didn't seem to be working in anyway so I needed something else to bring my hands back to their ... Read the complete review

On a recent visit to Lush I was utterly delighted when I was handed a goody-bag with free samples when paying for my chosen items. The great thing about the sample selection was that I had never tried any of the products in the bag. One of the little samples was Lush's "Figs and Leaves" soap. ***The soap*** The soap is certainly not the most attractive looking soap with its brownish shades of colour. At the top of the soap bar is a selection of dark brown leaves. The soap itself is light beige with dark brown fig seeds, which look very much like chocolate sprinkles, and fig pieces that look like bits of jelly gummy bears. ... Read the complete review

I treated myself to a smallish wedge of Lush Figs and Leaves soap on a recent Christmas shopping trip to Cheltenham. On the whole I am a fan of Lush shops, and enjoy trying out some of the products, on this occasion though I had some difficulty choosing what to buy as the smell in the shop was so overpowering, I say smell perhaps perfume might be a better description, it is nice but too much, you can smell it for yards ahead before you even reach the shop. Surprisingly though once I got it home, I found that the perfume from the Figs and Leaves soap is not especially overpowering in the bathroom. It is a nice warm, clean sort of friendly smell however, and I ... I was given a sample of this figs and leaves soap as I told the sales lady at Lush that I wanted to try a soap that was moisturising as some of the other ones I'd tried were a bit too drying for my dry/sensitive skin. I just don't like the feeling of coming out of the shower with my skin feeling uncomfortably tight so she suggested this soap. She cut me a generous sample so I couldn't wait to try it out. It smells very natural and a little sweet too, I definitely won't mind using this all over as I don't think it will clash with any other products I might use after. Some soaps tend to smell too overpowering and therefore make any other products smell a bit odd ... Read the complete review

I always like trying out new soaps, even more so if they have a lot of natural ingredients in them. I had a bar of Figs and Leaves in my gift box and I couldn't wait to see whether it would be better than my normal soap. Price £2.79 for 100g What's in it? For those that are new to Lush, their soaps are handmade, full of natural products and most of them are suitable for vegetarians and vegans to use. Figs and Leaves is jam packed with lots of goodies that are soft, cleansing and moisturising for your skin. A few of the ingredients in this one are coconut oil, ylang ylang, aloe vera and orange blossom, to name a few. ... Read the complete review
