Advantages: Smells gorgeous, turns water a great colour
Disadvantages: Only around for a short time
This was the second of the limited edition Easter bath ballistics I bought from Lush on my recent trip to Edinburgh. There were four eggs to choose from, and I chose this one mainly because it was pink!
The ballistic is shaped like a small Easter egg, and if you look close even has the cracked shell effect you would get from a chocolate egg. It has a small sugar flower embedded into the front, much like the creamy candy bubble bar, and the colour is a very bright and vibrant pink. It's a cute little thing and I know Easter has now passed (the review is late because Dooyoo took a while to upload the suggestion), but these would have made a great little Easter gift for someone.
The Fluffy Eggs are said to contain the scent of Lush's Candy Fluff perfume, the same scent that is in their candy fluff dusting powder. To be honest to me it smelled a lot like the Snow Fairy shower gel Lush bring out each Christmas, and also a bit like the creamy candy bubble bar. The scent is very girly and feminine - incredibly sweet and sugary with a sharper edge which is a little bit like berries. It's quite a young scent, I imagine younger girls would love it.
When I put this in the water it began to dissolve, and as it fizzed it turned the water an amazing shade of hot pink. Sometimes I find that the scent of the ballistics fade once they are in the water, however this one lingered throughout the entire bath which was lovely.
Almost as soon as the ballistic began to dissolve, I could feel a change in the water. It makes the water feel sort of silky, and slightly oily, but oily in a good way, not in a greasy slippery sort of way. The fact that I can feel the difference in the water makes me think that this is doing good things for my skin.
Indeed when I did actually get out of the bath, this left my skin feeling beautiful and soft and there was a slight trace of the candy fluff scent left on my skin.
These ballistics cost £2.50 which for a Lush ballistic is quite a reasonable price. Of course you only get one bath out of it which makes it less economical, but there is always the option of breaking it up. Although this is an Easter special it is still available for sale on the Lush website - www.lush.co.uk
Overall, this was probably one of the nicest ballistics I've used. It had no petals or other 'bits' to stick to the skin, it smelled delicious and girly, and it turned the water a beautiful pink colour. I just hope they bring this back next year!
Summary: Fluff-tastic!
