Lush Ghost Shower Gel

Description: Brand: Lush / Type: Shower Gel / Cream / Just in time for Halloween!

... at Ghost in the bottle you expect it to be thick and gloopy however it has such a lovely consistency once you use it. It's soft and smooth but not runny. Let the scent of this beautiful, floral shower gel lessen your fears of the supernatural. Made with rose and dove orchid infusions, Ghost first made an appearance in 2007 and it came back briefly in 2008. Translucent, lovely and only around for a moment, Ghost merits a photograph or no one will believe it really existed. All that will remain is soft skin and the ...more

I have only in my short time as a Lush addict used two shower gels and I have only ever written about one, how did I let that happen? One of the really good things about Lush is that from time to time they promote products which are aimed at certain public holidays and this time the Halloween products caught my eye because I had never seen them nor used them before. Lush Ghost is a limited edition shower gel which I am assuming will now only be available in the weeks running up to Halloween in the same way that the Christmas stock becomes available in the run up to Christmas. Retailing at £7.50 for 250ml or £13.45 for double the size. However in my Lush ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Something very spooky about Ghost! (779 words)

I always love limited edition products especially products which come out a certain time the year. Lush always create limited collections for Valentines, Christmas, Easter and Halloween. Are there any holidays that I have missed?! Lush bring out various items, shower gel, bubble bars, soap, ballistics, you name it, they do it and as the holidays are so incredibly popular these products seem worth bringing out if only for a few weeks. Then they are whipped away from us and never to be seen again...unless you are one of those people who buy the limited editions and stick on EBay when they are now no longer available!!! So it was Halloween time and i was getting ...  Read the complete review

I went into Lush recently with the intention of trying their Rub Rub Rub shower gel. However I wasn't as enamoured by the scent as I hoped I'd be so after some debate decided to try this one instead. On first impression the fact its a limited edition was what attracted me to it (although bearing in mind its now well after halloween and its still on sale), but the white colour intrigued me, as did the gorgeous lily scent. INGREDIENTS Dove Orchid Infusion (Dendrobium), Rose Water (Rosa centifolia), Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sea Salt (Sodium chloride), Glyceryl Sterate, Cocamide MEA, Glycol Cetearate, Perfume, White Wine ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A Ghost of a chance (370 words)

Ghost is one of Lush's Halloween inspired Limited Edition products - when I bought it I was told that it wouldn't be on sale in my local store past 31st October, but it is still available online as I write. With my love for all things creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky, I was seduced by the Halloween aspect of this shower gel, but unlike some of the other products in this 'Supernatural' collection Lush are not claiming any particular herbal benefits with this one. In fact, in some ways it would be just as suitable, if not more suitable, as a snow themed Christmas shower gel, particularly because it contains something called 'snowflake lustre colour'. Still, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Ghost Shower Gel: too lovely to be scary (160 words)
by - written on 26/12/08 (Very useful, 29 readings)

Ghost shower gel is meant to be a Halloween exclusive, but it is now past Christmas and my shop is still selling it! However, this is not a complaint. Ghost is beautiful- beautifully presented, beautiful colour and most importantly a beautiful scent! The ever haunting scent of lilies meets the comforting scent of ylang ylang and creates an infusion you won't be able to stop picking up to smell again and again. The gel itself is shimmery and soft on the skin. It is also lovely in your hair- whenever I wash my hair with it people comment on how nice my hair smells. It is more expensive than a lot of the other shower gels but this is reflected in the quality and pure ...  Read the complete review
