Lush Godmother Soap ... baths showers and bodies, people tend to call Lush "That soap shop". This is fair, because we do make exceedingly good soaps. We looked into this (technically Pia looked into it and we were all very interested) and found that 68% of people in the UK wash their hands with washing up liquid. That`s just not right. It`s not good for your hands. Stop it! Mo, our soap supreme, has made this special soap (scented with our best selling Snow Fairy scent) for keeping by the kitchen sink. Think of it as your fairy godmother for the hands.

... by the kitchen sink' and that it is designed to give you 'really soft hands that smell like our best selling Snow Fairy shower gel'. The Lush website states that it is a 'fairy godmother for the hands'. The soap is a pinky purple-y colour, tending to be darker at the edges. It has a shiny, almost rubbery look to it which makes you think that it will be very hard and impossible to lather up, but this isn't really the case. When you rub the soap between your hands, a very light lather is produced. The soap also emits...more

Premium Review Lush Godmother Soap: a (Snow) Fairy Godmother (539 words)

I love Lush's Snow Fairy shower gel, but it only comes out at Christmas. Thankfully, last year, Lush developed The Godmother, a soap which carries the same scent as Snow Fairy. I have been using this in my bathroom as a hand soap for a couple of weeks now and thought I'd share my experiences. The soap is a dark purple/red colour, and feels quite solid and a little waxy, whereas some of the Lush soaps can be quite soft and squishy. Personally I find that to be a positive thing as the more solid soaps don't seem to wear down as quickly as the softer ones. I did find that this left a reddish stain on the side of my sink, so that's something to bear in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I am a grandmother not a godmother. (283 words)

My daughter is a Lush fanatic so I was not surprised to receive a good few Lush goodies from her within my Christmas presents. One of the lush gift sets she gave me contained this Lush Godmother Soap, It is marketed as a kitchen soap but as the colour matched my bathroom that is where it went. Without even having ever been used it gives off a really strong scent that has a very distinctive blackcurrant smell but also a sort of less noticeable musky perfume scent too. The scent of the soap is lovely and when used it stays on the skin for a long time. It is very much a hand soap rather than a bath or shower soap and instead of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Godmother Soap: A Fairy Godmother To Protect My Skin (563 words)

I love Lush products but never seem to have the spare cash to buy any or the time to go into town to visit Lush! I am always hopefully that when it comes to Christmas and birthdays I might just get a gift from Lush but I never have, Awwww, I hear you say!! To my great surprise and pleasure, this Christmas was different, I got a little gift set from Lush from my hubby, even although he said he had to leave the shop because the overpowering smell made him feel sick!!! One of the products in the gift set was the Godmother Soap Bar. I fell in love with the aroma of the soap as soon as the scent reached my senses, giving quite a fruity smell, which reminded me ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A lovely Lush reminder of what they're good at...Soap's! (1350 words)

When it comes to Lush I find the products in their stores very hit and miss to be totally honest with you. Some products like Karma Kream and that whole range I love along with Rock Star Soap and the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar Slice but some of the stuff I have used has discoloured my bath (I removed that in the end lol) or caked me in glitter and stuff and at 34 years old I seriously hate all that! However the other day I had a spare few quid knocking about in my purse and for once that said money wasn't spoken for so I decided to go and have a mooch about in Lush and see if anything took my fancy for a little treat! Doing these reviews does pay for my toiletry ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Godmother Soap: Everyone needs a fairy godmother! (402 words)

Of all the Lush goodies that have come and gone through my bathroom, Snow Fairy will remain firmly towards the top of my favourites list. Not so much because it's pink and sparkly, I'm not really a sugar and spice kind of girl, but because it smells fun and cheeky and is guaranteed to perk up my spirits. Unfortunately as many of Lush junkies you will know, it is limited edition for Christmas, so I set about acquiring enough to see me through for a while. Then I realised that Lush now carry a soap with the same scent, all year round! Hallelujah! Of course, I popped one of those into the basket too. The Godmother is "in person" quite a ...  Read the complete review
