My gold, frankincense and beer jelly came as part of the Happy Shower giftset. Which in turn came in the £5 grabbit bag I purchased after christmas during the promotional offer. Again as with the other objects that came in my lush bag I believe this is just a christmas product and so won't be available to buy right now. The description of the jelly product on the label of the giftbox says " Three elements of a modern yuletide - gifts, rituals and parties - all in one shower jelly! Wash all over to put in a seasonal mood." The amount was 100g. What I did like about this product from lush is that it came in a much better container than ... Read the complete review

I received a good few Lush products over Christmas as gifts and slowly I have been getting round to using them, I have also decided that it is about time I started writing some reviews on them so I can muster up the money to replace the ones I liked. Lush Gold Frankincense and Beer Shower Jelly was probably the oddest Lush product I received at Christmas and I have to admit I considered not using it at all. It is a horrible brown colour and I have to admit the inclusion of beer gave me the impression I would not like this at all. I had to try it in the end because I feel all Lush products deserve a chance and I am glad i did try it because it was ... Read the complete review

This is essentially a shower gel by Lush- but with a twist! Lush, in case you were unaware of them, are a company which sells bathing/showering and basically very non basic bathroom stuffs. They do not add in man made things to their products if they can avoid doing so, and they hand make what they do sell. Well, I picked up the shower jelly I am about to review as part of a free gift by Lush. It was their version of a January sale, spend so much cash, pick up a box for free. I got a box worth around £15 for spending £24.09. Inside the box were tow soaps and two shower gels. The shower jelly here (Gold Frankincense and Beer) which I am reviewing is ... Gold, Frankincense and Beer is the second of the Lush shower jellies I have tried, the first being the Strawberry Santa which I loved. This is one of the Lush Christmas products and therefore only available for a fairly limited time. A shower jelly is how it sounds really - a shower gel in the form of jelly, which you break a piece off, and then rub over the skin to form a lather. It makes a bit of a difference from a normal shower gel, and really is just a bit of a novelty. You can store these anywhere as long as it's not too warm (as some of them can melt - see my Strawberry Santa review!!) but Lush recommend they're kept in the fridge. You can also freeze ... I was given this shower jelly by my partner who had picked up in a sale at Lush in Sheffield. Being male I was naturally sceptical at first that the sweet smelling jelly could possibly offer me anything other than to be used as a stress tool that I could wobble during times of strife. The pot I have is 125 grammes and cost £3.36 which by anyones standards is expensive! However my father always taught me that as long as it's worth the money it's justifiable and on this occasion it is. You can smell the product through the packaging and it smells like the cola sweets you could get from the penny shop as a kid with a little bit more sweetness ... Read the complete review
