Lush Happy Birthday Bubble Bar

I received this little bar before it was discontinued for my birthday as a gift from a dear friend who knew I loved Lush! What a lovely thought! Happy Birthday Bubble Bar was meant to be a small ribbon-tied birthday gift with a metallic "Happy Birthday" gift tag attached to its surface. I do not usually use bubble bars, I'm all for reduces packaging but the price of a bubble bar which is basically a solid bubble bath is the same, if not more than 2 bottles of the liquid bubble bath I use. I received a Happy Birthday bubble bar as part of a Lush set, so decided to give it a go. So It was my birthday just a few days ago and what a better way than to start the day than a Lush Bath? I decided to only write Lush reviews for products on which I have an opinion contrasting with the already present reviews, and to keep them short as you can read all the buildup, background and other flourishes everywhere else. This bar is actually one of my favourite Retro bars. I am not bothered about it slightly crumpling up in transport, although the ones I ordered almost always arrived in one piece (and Lush is EXCELLENT at sending replacements for products damaged in transit, so much that I sometimes wish more arrived a bit damaged! Lush Happy Birthday Bubble Bar is not one of their better products and I would not recommend it as a birthday present because it just is not all that inspiring and I think the birthday girl would be very disappointed when she used it. The smell is very artificial in my opinion. The vanilla is pretty strong but not as strong as many of their products. It is also lost a little in the bergamot, which subdues the vanilla without adding anything to the scent.
