... that they always smell very nice, each one different of course but all very nice. That is where this one slips up, the scent is very clinical and more like a cleaning product for kitchens or bathrooms than something I would want to bath in. I disliked the scent of this one so much I never got round to using the second half of the bar but rather binned it. It did leave the water very silky and produced loads of bubbles and it had no bad effect on my skin and did not leave my skin dry in any way. The only problem was w...more

Premium Review Lush Happy Bubble Bar - Oh yes I'm happy! (799 words)

Now I love a good bubble bar! They are my ultimate favourite items in Lush as they make a bath just so nice! I love going into Lush and picking them out, they all look so pretty and girly! I sadly look forward to a long soak after my hard day at work, so I can relax and gather my thoughts, together with a nice glass of wine!! I came upon Happy after my usual look on the website as I like to stock up with the retro goodies every month or so! I came upon this little blue wonder and even though it wasn't one of Lush's prettiest creations it's write up was pretty impressive!! Happy was originally brought out for New Years 2002 and then was discontinued ...  Read the complete review

I try not to post too many reviews about the same type of product one after another, variety being the spice of life and all, and I apologise for being repetitive, but at times in my short Dooyoo career there have been products which I either love or hate so much that I couldn't wait to say what I thought of them. This, unfortunately, is one of the times when I will not have pleasant things to say. I've mentioned before that my experiments with Retro Lush have been less than successful. I was starting to form a theory that they were off the shelves for a reason - because nobody wanted to buy them. Pineapple Grunt - awful. Hot Java - worse than awful. Happy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Happy Bubble Bar: Another unhappy happy product (467 words)

I recently placed yet another order on the Lush website (someone please tell me how to stop, because I'm out of control!) and bought a few of their Retro bath products. The Retro range, is a range of Lush products which were discontinued, but have been brought back to purchase on-line only as they were so popular. The disadvantage of this, is that you cannot smell the product before purchasing it - and unless you remember it from the first time round, you have to go on the description of the product and the list of ingredients. Having a liking for anything citrus scented, I chose the Happy bubble bar, for the fact it contained Neroli, Orange Blossom and Tangerine, as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I am not happy with happy from Lush! (338 words)

I received a good few Lush products over Christmas as gifts and slowly I have been getting round to using them, I have also decided that it is about time I started writing some reviews on them so I can muster up the money to replace the ones I liked. Anyone that does not know what a bubble bar is it is in most basic terms a bubble bath like any other but in solid form, you basically crumble the bar under running water to get a very nice bath full of relaxing bubbles. I tend not to use the whole bar as I find half of it is plenty and then you get two baths for the price of one bar which incidentally is around £3. Most Lush bars have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Happy Bubble Bar: Happy Bubbles! (217 words)

I love the idea of this Happy Bubble Bar from Lush. The name is fun and it has the word Happy on the bar and so it looks cheerful and funky and a great idea for a present. I found that the bar was a little too soft for me and crumbled away very easily. It did leave my skin very soft though. It is meant to be hydrating for the skin and I certainly found that it was. The oils that are used in this product include neroli, sandalwood and tangerine. Sandalwood is one of my favourite smell and so I thought I would love this bar but I did not think that it blended that well with the tangerine. Neither scent was overpowering but together they did not ...  Read the complete review
