... bottle. It's a mid-textured gel, not too runny or too thick, which lathers up well on a shower puff. It makes lots of thick frothy bubbles which feel soft and smooth on the skin. the scent is a really uplifting zesty grapefruit smell which is nice and natural and not too sweet. It feels lovely to use and makes my skin feel really clean and soft. The lather rinses off easily and my skin is left feeling soft, smooth and hydrated. there's no need to apply a lotion straight after showering when I use this, it doesn't giv...more

Premium Review Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel: Wakey, Wakey! (528 words)

I received a bottle of Happy Hippy Shower Gel when I spent my Christmas Lush vouchers, the offer was a free gift box with every £20 spent and one gift box I chose (from three free ones, lucky me!) contained a selection of refreshing products with a summery feel. I have only used the Happy Hippy from the box so far but it's so lovely that it's going to become a regular appearance in my online Lush orders. I love a strong smelling shower gel and this pink grapefruit scented one fits the bill perfectly, disappointingly it's a yellow colour whereas I'd love to see it in pink but to be honest the yellow does make it seem particularly sunny and puts me in mind of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review I'm happy (657 words)

Occasionally when I read all the Lush reviews on here, I feel myself being sucked into making an order. This happened to me not so long ago, and I ended up with a small box of goodies being handed to me by the postman! My first product of choice to test out in the mornings was Happy Hippy shower gel. I had heard amazing things about Happy Hippy and how it really wakes you up in the morning and I really was eager to try it out for myself. Happy Hippy is packaged in a clear squeezy bottle with a flip lid, much like the Body Shop packaging for their shower gels. Included are very brief instructions and ingredients on what is included in the bottle. On ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel: Happy Hippy all the time (270 words)

I purchased Happy Hippy for my other half as he said he wanted a shower gel to wake him up in his morning showers before work. Happy Hippy fits the bill perfectly, with ingredients such as Pink Grapefruit juice it provides the greatest smell of citrus burst and lingers with the steam from the shower. The Bottle itself is the standard lush shower gel bottle, see through with a black flip top lid, and a black label around the bottle, stating what it is called, that it is handmade, what it is (as in shower gel), and what it is made for. The colour is unoffensive and is a dark yellow, which is great for both women and men. Happy Hippy comes in three sizes - 100g ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sunshine On A Winter Morning (461 words)

Theres nothing worse than dragging yourself out of bed on a cold winter morning, it doesn't matter that I have been getting up in the dark for a couple of months now, it still feels like it's the middle of the night and like I need another couple of hours sleep to feel human again. One thing that helps me feel more alive in the morning is the Happy Hippy shower gel from Lush. Claiming to help recentralise your aura, its blend of essential oils help you feel alert and awake. The shower gel itself varies in colour, the bottle I bought myself in the autumn is green and cloudy while the bottle I got from Santa is yellow. This variability is due to the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Happy Hippy Shower Gel: Happy Hippy: Keeps you smiling! (193 words)

Lush's shower gels are one product that has decreased in numbers in recent years in favour of products that are naked, however I feel Happy Hippy will never leave the shelves! Lush have improved their plastic bottle packaging by using bottles that are made of the thinnest plastic possible (sooo squidgy), and are always looking into new methods of packaging their shower gels! Happy Hippy is full of fresh Grapefruit juice which is brilliant for waking you up in the morning. It's such a zingy, fresh fragrance and leaves you feeling refreshed and awake following your morning shower. Happy Hippy lathers up nicely too, and can be used as a bubble bath if ...  Read the complete review

Smells divine, wonderully refreshing, relaxing, leaves skin feeling soft None as yet

Unusual scent, a little goes a long way, can be used as bubble bath easily Expensive, competes with perfume too much, didn't work that well on my hair

Smell, Look, no Residue Slight Pink Tinge

Nice scent, nice little story and natural stuff inside so watery its easy to waste it on the plug instead!

Smells delicious. Has an astringent effect and doesn't lather much.

Has multiple uses, great for men and women, very gentle on sensitive skin. Different bottles may vary in thickness of gel, depending on who 'made' it.
