Advantages: looks cute, glides on well, softens skins

Disadvantages: the kick to it is too strong for me

I bought this massage bar only a few days after it was released as I love the scent of vanilla fountain so hoped it would smell pretty similar. On first sniff in the shop it did indeed smell similar but perhaps with a bit more of an edge to it, but I was confident that this would not put me off!

So I took this little beauty home and after my shower proceeded to rub it all over my legs as I really like using the massage bars as moisturisers. It glided onto my skin easily making my legs feel lovely and soft but oh the scent really becomes apparent when you use it! The ingredients of jasmine and tonka really come through and this is vanilla not for the faint hearted! Infact I would go so far as to say this is vanilla's dirty little sister that packs a mean punch!

On the Lush website it is compared to cinder toffee and there is that kind of burnt toffee smell. However other's have also said they really don't like that extra strong scent and that it is akin to public lavatories which although I feel is a little harsh I can also kind of understand too!

Sadly I must admit that I only used this a handful of times before I threw it away as it was just too strong a scent for me and gave me a bit of a headache after a while. It's a funny one though as on inital sniff I do kind of like it, it's just that it becomes a bit too much. Mind you I still think it is one massage fans should check out!

Summary: sorry Lush but its not for me
