Advantages: works well & results show within days

Disadvantages: bit greasy & not keen on the smell

I read a great number of Dooyoo reviews after Christmas which made Lush products sound, overall, really good so decided to test some myself.

My younger daughter was 18 recently & treated herself to several Lush items & it didn't seem right not to test a few did it?

My hands have been looking rather dry & old lately so I've been using the Helping Hands handcream which comes in an attractive black plastic pump-action bottle. According to the receipt the 45g cost £3.47 but it's also available in 100g plus in tubs (as shown in the photo).

The plastic see-through top pulls off easily enough & the pump action works well - although the cream itself is fairly thick it doesn't clog the hole.

The information on the front of the bottle tells me that the lotion is 'healing & soothing' & 'makes light work of dry skin or rough hands'.

It contains the following ingredients -
- linseed oil
- almond oil
- shea butter
- cocoa butter (all listed on the front)
plus there are loads of ingredients listed on the back as well - some of which I recognise & some I've never heard of.

The cream itself is a very pale pink & initially I thought it was a bit greasy but it's soon absorbed into the skin although it does leave a sort of 'film' over the hands which I wasn't too keen on.

The effects over the past few days have been quite noticeable - eg my hands look less dry & wrinkly, they feel moisturised & softer so I'd recommend this Helping Hands - if you don't mind the smell.

I don't know exactly what the lotion smells of - maybe the linseed oil? It's not nasty, just not overly pleasant. I don't like the smell although, for some unknown reason, I just have to keep taking a whiff! It's definitely not the perfumed fragrance that you'd expect from a hand cream.

However I must say that it works well & it works quickly so if you're looking for an effective hand cream & don't mind the smell then I'd recommend this product.

summary
~
- fairly expensive for the amount you get.
- makes hands much less dry & feeling soft.
- not keen on the smell.
- does what it says on the bottle.

Summary: an effective hand cream

I'd recommend Dream Cream, I like that.
