Honey I Washed the Kids is probably one of the most popular soaps produced by natural cosmetics company, Lush. It is described as having the scent of toffee and honeycomb - which it does, in spades. It's true what Lush say about the product on their website, that people who were fully intending to walk out of the store without buying anything just can't resist the smell of this product and grab a big chunk and take it to the till. In fact, I had heard so many fantastic stories about this soap that eventually I decided I had to try it for myself. I made my purchase at my local Lush store, which as anyone who has ever been into a Lush store knows, is ... Read the complete review

Arguably the best soap Lush has ever ever produced. When i first went into a Lush shop about four years ago it was the first thing i saw, or rather smelt. It smells so good you actually want to eat it, its a mix of honey and toffee, and although it is pricey, at around £2 per 100g, its well worth it. You can also get the bath bomb, and perfume with the same intoxicating scent, so you could go around smelling like a sweet shop all day. Lushes products are all organic, and often fair trade, so you can feel morally good as well as gorgeous. Unlike most soaps, it does not smell of "soap" it really does smell of what it says it will smell of, and they also limit ... Read the complete review

There are some Lush products that are only around for a relatively short time before they're discontinued, and there are some that are only available at certain times of the year- such as Christmas. And then there are the ones that seem to have been around forever - the iconic Lush products that never seem to go out of fashion. Honey I washed the kids soap is one such product. So why I had not tried it before, I have no idea. Feeling a bit depressed a few weeks ago, I headed to Lush with the intention of buying a couple of products to cheer myself up (of course you can never go into Lush and buy just a couple of things - even the strongest willpower crumbles ... My absolute favourite soap from lush! It smells divine ( I want to eat it) and like most lush soaps, when used simply as a sink side soap for washing your hands (as opposed for washing your whole body) it lasts for absolutely ages! It doesn't effect my sensitive skin or eczema - although I have only used it on my hands, and it doesn't cover your bathroom with glitter and bits of plant like some of the lush soaps do! I am often given this soap as a present, as my friends know how much I love the smell - and I recommend keeping it (in its paper wrapping) in your underwear or nightwear drawer until you are ready to use it, as it will make your clothes ... Although I shop regularly at Lush, I'd never actually tried their soaps up until recently. I tend to get dry skin a fair amount of the time, and blocks of soap just seem to dry it out more. But, after popping in to stock up some other treats, I was given a sample sized chunk of 'Honey, I Washed the Kids'. I'm pretty sure this is one of their most popular soaps, and I can now see why. It has a sweet scent, with mixes of honey and toffee, it smells delicious and a lot more 'natural' than many other soaps would smell. It also includes sweet orange oil, which is very subtle when mixed with the honey/toffee smell, but has a nice uplifting hint to it. The top of ... Read the complete review
