Advantages: It smells wonderful & dissolves well

Disadvantages: It's now not available!

We can all use a little luck right ? LUSH sent us a luck infused Shamrock bath bomb in time for St. Patrick's Day. However to my knowledge this didn't come out in the UK, only in the USA and Canada (available from 1st March 2009) - suprising really as the Brits celebrate St Paddys day too! But anyway I managed to obtain one off Ebay in perfect condition, still in it's little yellow paperbag!

Called Luck of The Irish, it has the scents of lemongrass, bergamot, and rosewood in it. All very reviving aromatherapy oils for before or after all those green beers or Shamrock Shakes.Scented the same as their avobath bath bomb it smells refreshingly like lemongrass and has olive oil to soften your skin.

The bomb even makes your bath water green due to avocado being in there - I didn't particuarly like this feature as sitting in green water isn't ezactly pleasing to look at! However the avocade is great for the skin so I forgave that minor fault great for your skin too.

What Lush says:

Have a little pre-party bath to get clean and ready for the day of great spirits (literally and figuratively) and green ahead. As the shamrock fizzes away, the bath water will get a cheery hint of green because of the skin-nourishing avocado packed into this lucky bomb (a miracle in itself). Plus, the scents of lemongrass, bergamot and rosewood will revive the senses so you can dance the Irish Jig all night long.

I'm not always a fan of bath ballistics as sometimes they don't actually dissolve as much as you would like and you end up sitting on a load of salt! However I actually broke this ballistic into pieces (a shame I know!) but it managed to all dissolve really well and no sitting on salt! Another good thing was that it didn't stop fizzing after about 3 seconds it carried on going while I was actually in the bath.

Another thing to remember is to make sure you wash the bath out afterwards - this is due to the colouring of the water after the bath product. I don't think a green ring around the tub would be nice!!

Unfortunately as this item was limited edition it is no longer available to buy online (www.lush.com) but originally it was for around $8.00, I wouldn't say it was worth it, but the cost was more due to it being a limited edition. More than likely if you really want to try it, Ebay would be your best bet!

Summary: A great little limited edition
