(The scene: It was a dark and stormy night. Calypte - unused to having a fully working computer again - decided to indulge in one of her other favourite hobbies: reading in the bath. Alas, she seems to have forgotten how to write book reviews, so here's (another!) one about the bath product!) Lush have - yes, in October! - released their Christmas range for 2008. Usually I disapprove heartily of festivities starting so early, but heck - there's a lot to get through, so I'm grateful for the 3-month run up! Besides, the Magic ballistic isn't particularly festive (perhaps a little more Halloween-themed, perhaps?), which made me feel okay about giving it a ... Read the complete review

Well its that time of year again when Lush have the grab bags for sale....I have excitedly waited for these days for a month or so after falling in love with Lush products over Christmas and being told about the massive offer Lush have after Christmas to get rid of the excess Christmas stock. I managed to but a grab bag yesterday which consists of over £50 worth of lush Christmas products for the amazing price of £15. I couldn't wait to get the bag home to have a peak. One of the products included was the Lush Magic Bath Ballistic. I actually got two of these. I decided to use one of them tonight so I ran my bath and placed the ballistic in the bath. I am ... Lush... the world of all magical and magnificent bath secrets. This Bath Ballistic is like the bunny out of the hat...the star of the show! I have always loved Lush bath ballistics. Balls of powder which slowly explode in the bath. A bit like dissolving bath oil. Fascinating for first timers, and exhilarating for old timers. This one is named Magic, for the reasons I am about to explain the name fits very well. **The Magic Bath Ballistic** Well, to be honest, the name does not really give it away. Magic... that could mean anything! Which in my opinion is brilliant. I love a surprise. What you do is plonk the ballistic in a pre-run bath (this is so ... Read the complete review

I love Lush, but what I really love are their bubble bar slices. Generally, their bath ballistics don't really do much for me. I guess I just like bubbles! But for Magic I will make an exception. Magic first hit the shops in time for Haloween, but it is actually part of the Christmas special editions range. It's £3.02 at the moment, I guess the price has been reduced due to the VAT cut. The first thing I can say about Magic is it smells AMAZING! It's main scents are marjoram and rose on the outside, and basil and peppermint onthe inside. Now I can here you asking: what's all this inside and outside business? Well, the outside ... Read the complete review

Aside from the unusual shape and striking colour, Lush's new 'Magic' ballistic is comparatively plain looking, having no bits of twigs sticking out of it, or stars embedded in it. It has been released for Christmas, but with its magical theme and 'Hex' shapes it is perhaps more suited for Halloween! This product is part of Lush's recent 'Supernatural' promotion, with items designed to rekindle magical powers. Magic is one of the more expensive Ballistics at £3.10, but is larger than most. As usual it was almost impossible to discern its smell whilst in the store, but at home the scents of peppermint, marjoram and basil were apparent, and more subtle was the ...
