I received no less than four of these Marzibain Bubble Bars for Christmas, included in a couple of gift boxes and as individual gifts from friends who know I adore not only Lush in general but also the smell of marzipan. I'm not sure why, but I only got around to using one this evening and I absolutely love not only the smell of it but also the fantastic effect it had on my skin. As soon as I unwrapped the bubble bar I could smell the delicious aroma of almonds, this disappointed me somewhat as I was hoping for the rich and sugary scent of marzipan itself and not just the nut used in its creation! This disappointment soon turned however when I ... Read the complete review

I've been waiting to try this bubble bar for ages. It came out in 2001 as part of the Lush christmas range. It was then only available through mail order as it was part of the retro lush range. Since I didnt have a credit/debit card, I could not order it from mail order. This christmas, however, it became available in stores again as a limited edition christmas product. I HAD to get one. Marzibain has the same smell as Snowcake Soap and Smitten Hand Cream. It has a lovely sweet smell of marzipan and almonds and smells really creamy. Lush Bubble Bars are used by crumbling them underneath running water. The smaller you crumble the pieces, the more ... Read the complete review

One of the first Lush products I ever purchased was the Marzibain bubble bar and I loved it almost as much as I have loved the many Lush products I have used since. I was slightly disappointed to start with that it smelled more of almonds than of what I had expected (marzipan) but that soon went once I had actually used it. Once you actually crumble this bar under the running water it starts to smell more marzipan like and it fills the bathroom with a lovely sweet aroma that I just loved. I only use half a bar when I buy the bar products and save the other half for a second bath, half the bar seems to be plenty so I get double the joy from my ... Read the complete review

My last order from Lush was made online. One reason was because my nearest store is miles away and the other reason was because I was dying to try out the Marzibain Bubble Bar. It is a Retro Lush item, so is therefore only available to buy online or by mail order and not in the shops. From the description on the Lush website, I was expecting something that smelt exactly like marzipan. Really sweet, which is what I like in these type of products. In reality, when I opened the box, all I could smell was almond. It still didn't put me off, although it wasn't one of the first products out of my new stash that I wanted to try. The bar is also quite plain, ... Read the complete review

I ordered this Lush Marzibain bubble bar for £2.45 from the Lush website as it's listed under the retro items and I really wanted to try this out. I love all things sweet and scents that smell like desserts so this seemed the perfect retro item to try. I never had the chance to get these when they came out and were being sold in the Lush shops as I've only just discovered them about a month or two ago. This bubble bar smells of marzipan and almonds and it's cream with a little almond in the top, which I think is really cute. It does look and smell good enough to eat (but luckily I know better). There's also rose in this bubble bar and that must be the ... Read the complete review
