Advantages: Delicious fragrance, lots of bubbles

Disadvantages: Smell fades a bit too fast, no good for nut allergy sufferers

I love Lush bubble bars - they're just a luxurious treat that feels so indulgent and yet lets you buy yourself a really yummy little "all for me" treat for a few quid that can cheer you up no end.

Marzibain is from the Retro range so you can't buy it in the shops just on-line. It's currently £2.50 for a 100 gram bar.

Its a creamy oblong that does quite resemble a big lump of marzipan for your bath (bain if you know your French) and embedded in it is a whole almond, which l wouldn't recommend eating even though its very tempting not to waste it. This wouldn't be any good for nut allergy sufferers.

The fragramce is almondy and fruity too, with a hint of a sweet floral note also. It smells a bit like a slice of pink and yellow Battenberg cake.

It bubbles up nicely if you soften it under the tap and crumble then swish the water about to increase the bubbles.

The fragrance is at its strongest at this point so I prefer to half fill my bath, climb in then crumble it as I'm topping up the water.

Its turns the water slightly milky looking and makes it feel nice and soft.

You could get 2 baths from 1 bar but for maximum frothy almondy indulgence use one full bar otherwise the smell seems to fade quite quickly.

A delicious fragrance, you might want to just sit and sniff the bar before you use it.
