Once he's all gone the water will feel really soft and kind of like you've shoved some baby oil into it. It's pretty moisturising but I don't like my bath to feel as oily as this left it - I was also pretty unhappy that it only lasted in the water for such a short amount of time. However, used combined with Porridge soap it makes for a nice ...more

Premium Review Lush Mr Butterball Bath Bombs: Bye Bye Mr snowman (550 words)

Mr butterball is another seasonal product from Lush. In this case it's a bath ballistic (fizzer) in the shape of a snowman. In the case of a bath ballistic, the idea is to drop into a fully run bath and watch it fizz as it releases all the bits and pieces packed into the ballistic. This ballistic was in the same box as my Christmas kisses bubble bath, but thankfully on first sniff it's smell much nicer with a hint of something slightly Christmas spice coming through. On closer inspection I learnt that the smell is red peppercorns. This is mixed with ylany ylang oil and cocoa butter. Overall the smell of the bomb has a slightly off putting aroma of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review The Ultimate Bath Time Buddy (341 words)

Usage As with all ballistics drop it inside a bull bath and watch it fizz as it dissolves. (Conduct emotional farewells before this moment as the snowman will be unrecognisable afterwards). Effects The ballistic breaks down with most evanescing away to deliciously scent the bath and the remaining little blobs slowly melting. These blobs re real cocoa butter which on melting intensively moisturisers skin to such an extent that no lotion is needed afterwards to achieve smooth, radiant skin. However be warmed that you cannot wash or soak hair in the bath, as it will soak up the butter and look greasy but it has been claimed that if washed ...  Read the complete review

I have been purchasing products from Lush for a few years now (because I love it) and have decided that they finally deserve some reviews! It's christmas time again and I founf myself off on my trip to Lush to buy some presents ( and a few little luxuries for myself!) and as with almost every other years anoth 2 or 3 went into my basket of these 'MISTER BUTTERBALL' bath bombs. What is is? It is yet another Bath Bomb in the Lush range, it is a christmas limited edition! It is a single Bath Bomb and doesn't come in a set of 6 or anything, but you can get it in christmas box sets which means it comes along with a few other Lush ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Aled Jones' Snowman was more fun than this! (862 words)

Lush is a shop that I'd heard a lot about but not had much experience of until last Christmas when the receipt of a very nice selection of items turned me into a huge fan. Unfortunately for me, as a general rule they are beyond my budget and I have to limit myself to salivating over the Lush Times instead, so I was enormously excited to read on a forum yesterday that Lush were getting rid of their excess Christmas stock by selling Grab Bags - essentially lucky dip bags whereby the value of the stock inside the bag exceeds the bag's cost but you get what you're given. More specifically the offer was Spend £5 and get £15 of goods. Spend £10 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Mr Butterball Bath Bombs: Buttery ball of lushness :o) (739 words)

This is the next bath bomb I used out of my Christmas set. It was described on the leaflet as: "A vanilla sweet tonic for over-dry holiday skin" which sounded perfect to use over the winter when my skin dries out the most. ***The bath bomb before melting... To begin with I had thought this one was a soap as it isn't round like the others ones I had. It is in the shape of a really cute snowman with a hat and scarf. I actually felt quite sad to destroy it as it looked really cute by my bath! It is completely white and feels a bit like a big piece of chalk, really powdery and rough. From the outside you wouldn't know what is inside it ...  Read the complete review
