Advantages: smells gorgeous
Disadvantages: stains
---------------------------------------------- -------------------------------- -- ---------------------------------------------- -------------------------------- -- ---------------------------------------------- -------------------------------- --- Last week I had my first visit to a lush shop. I have been using their products for a few months now, but I usually buy them online. So I went in and had a good look around. I had seen the Phuket bath ballistic online and it sounded good. The phuket is one of the bigger sized ballistics and weighs 200g. It is about the size of a tennis ball and it costs £1.95. I find it difficult when buying lush products to just buy one of anything, so I put two of these into a little bag and headed for the till. The packaging for this says that if you can’t afford a holiday- take a spicy coconut bath. As with all lush products this is hand made using only natural ingredients. Included in this phuket bath ballistic is Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Coconut Cream, Coriander Oil , Vetivert Oil ,Orange Oil ,Dessicated Coconut, Perfume and Gardenia Extract. This orange ball has little specs of green in it. It smells absolutely delicious and almost good enough to eat. It smells quite strongly of coconut and citrus but it reminds me of bubblegums.(The little different coloured chewing gum balls that you can buy in a strip for about 20p.) Very nice and quite sweet. To use this bath ballistic you have to put it into a pre run bath. So that is exactly what I did. I ran my deep hot bath and dropped my bath bomb into it. It started to fizz as soon as it touched the water. It began floating around fizzing and sending clouds of orange into the water. It wasn’t long before the water looked a dark yellow colour with lots of little bits floating around on top. I got into the dirty looking very yellow water to relax and enjoy my bath. The citrus smell had overtook the
bathroom with a hint of coconut. It was smelt very sweet and pleasant. After lying in the bath for about 20 minutes my skin was becoming very wrinkly and it was time to get out. Before I had run my bath we had a very clean, white enamel bath but after letting the water drain away I noticed that it now had a faint lemon tinge up to where I had the water level. This didn’t look very nice but it was easily wiped away. My nice white puff now had a yellow look to it which lade it look old and unclean. Even after rinsing it through I could not get it looking nice again. After drying myself and cleaning out the bath I could still smell a hint of coconut on my skin. My skin did feel soft and clean afterwards. I returned to the bathroom a while later and the sweet smell was still there and left the upstairs of the house smelling very pleasant. I would recommend this bath ballistic because it does smell really good, but if you do use it make sure any bath accessories you use like sponges, flannels or puffs are not white because it will stain slightly. Thanks for reading. P.S Sorry about the title, I couldn't resist it

- 01/03/04 The smell sounds delicious, but the staining is a bit off putting. THanks for the warning, I think I'd pass on this one. :) |
