Lately, life has been blah. So I popped into Lush for a few treats for myself. I'm not a diehard Lush junkie, but seems like every time I go in, I realise there are more things I want than my wallet will allow. Maybe this is why I don't allow myself to go more often, but I'm pretty sure there are worse vices! Well, this visit one thing I made sure that I was coming away with was their Porridge Soap. Okay so it might not be the prettiest, it might not be glittery and quirky and in a fun shape, but it smells deeeeeelish! I'm not one for huge overpowering scents, or sickly sweet ones, so a lot of Lush's range don't suit my nose, but porridge hits a happy medium ... Read the complete review

Lush - Porridge Soap Ok this soap may not be the most attractive that Lush has to offer. It isn't glittery or sparkly nor does it come with any 'exotic' ingredients but it is certainly worth a look.Porridge isn't just good for you on the inside but it's good for you on the OUTSIDE too :) This soap is available to buy both in-store and on-line and is priced at £2.56 per 100g so yours may be slightly more as Lush can't always get the perfect 100g bar.It has a palm oil free base as with all Lush soaps so much better for the environment. Obviously it contains oats! The oats secure you a good scrub in the tub whilst helping to shed those dead skin cells ... Read the complete review

Like many Dooyoo users, I used to be a total Lush addict. For some reason, however, I hadn't bought anything from them for a few months until a few weeks ago, when I found myself irresistibly drawn to venturing into its sweet smelling domain once again. What tempted me in was the Fresher's Box offer, which gave you eight Lush items for only £10. Of course, you couldn't just pick whatever eight items you wanted, but the choice was still pretty good: one facemask, one shampoo bar, two toner tabs, a moisturiser sample, a body scrub and two 50g pieces of soap. The overall savings wasn't immense when you consider that you only get small bars of soap, and the fact that toner ... Read the complete review

Porridge soap first became available last year, after I'd already been getting into Lush for a couple of years. I had a pretty big wishlist at the time, and when I saw Porridge in the Lush Times, the newspaper-catalogue the company regularly puts out (you can get a copy from your local store), I was not particularly intrigued. It doesn't look very exciting in the pictures, to say the least, but I do like the smell of oats, so I didn't rule out trying it at some point. Last Christmas came and went and I received the Christmas Present gift set, which included Porridge, along with another soap, Christmas Cake, a shower gel, The Olive Branch, and a emotibomb, Up ... It has taken me some time to try Lush Porridge Soap because I am more attracted to fragrances that will scent the bathroom with flowers or fresh green grassy odours. This soap is however something I would recommend you try if like me you are a porridge lover. If you have read my reviews before you may know that I enjoy my daily bowl of oats, and so a morning bath with the soap promised to be hopefully a welcome treat. I doubt very much that many would select this soap from the vast array of enticing colours and fragrances on offer in the store. Unless it is pointed out to you I suspect you could even miss the rather bland beige drab look to the chunk of ... Read the complete review
