Advantages: gentle and natural
Disadvantages: you may not like the fragrance
Strange name, strange product. Interesting none the less. Although the suggestion from Lush is to use it on your hands when they need a good scrub (ie. when doing gardening or DIY), I have been using it in the shower. I didn't find that it is very exfoliating actually, you can't really feel it, but it does make your skin feel smoother, so it must be working. The smell is another unusual thing. With Lush you don't know what to expect next when it comes to the scents they use, but I'm usually pleasantly surprised. This time, well, I didn't really know how to respond to the fragrance. It is a bit clove-like and earthy. I have grown to like it though. It must be the mix of tangerine and juniper oils. I haven't found that the perfume lingers all that long after washing with it. This soap is very gentle, and good for irritated or dry skin. You can use it straight, without a sponge, and the handy thing is that the thick red wax covers 2 sides of it, and so it doesn't slip out of your hands! :) It definitely has a natural feel to it, as all Lush things do. Natural down to earth scent and ingredients. It isn't as frothy and foamy as some commercial products, but this is more YUMMY. oh, and I didn't get a big slice like the picture here on dooyoo suggests. It's more of a cube shape, with 4 sides of bare soap, so it's easier to use. (the price below is what I paid, but each block they cut for you is weighed & priced individually, so price varies a lot).

- 02/03/01 I can understand that reaction! It doesn't look or smell anything like rice though :)
(I got it as a gift, and probably wouldn't have picked it myself, but shhhh, don't say a word :)) |
