Advantages: Smells amazing
Disadvantages: Gone after one use, expensive
I'm a sucker for anything new from Lush and jumped at the chance of trying the emotibombs when they were launched recently since I can no longer use the bath ballistics now I dont have a bath at home.
Lush sell 4 types of Emotibomb, Sex in the Shower being one them, so named I guess as it's meant to get you in the mood for some loving? ha ha nice try Lush. At less than £2 you might think these are a bargain but dont be fooled.... I bought mine from the store in Southampton and the whole way home I was eagerly looking forward to giving it a try thinking it would be an ideal subsitute for the bath ballistics I miss so much, not so however.
I decided to break the bomb in half as using the whole thing in one go seemed wasteful plus my boyfriend wanted to try it, I placed it at the bottom of the shower, got in and washed as usual. I admit the fragrances given off by the bomb were amazing but after about 10 minutes all that was left of it was a tiny piece of crap near the plughole, bugger I thought, I paid £2 just for that? My boyfriend wasnt impressed either so needless to say we havent bought any more since.
I think these products are more of a novelty than anything else and probably wont be something that stays on the shelves of Lush for the long term, at least with the bath ballistics you have the fun of watching the fizzing and swirling in the water before you hop in, with these emotibombs you get nothing.
Nice try Lush but I think its back to the drawing board.
Summary: Dont bother unless you like wasing your money away

- 05/11/08 I tried two of the other ones and thought they were pretty pants as well. The smell was gone by the time I'd left the bathroom. |
