About a year ago I was on a night out and noticed my friend was looking really glittery and it looked fab. I commented on it and she said it was a bar she had bought from Lush that you simply rub all over yourself and it covers you in glitter and that she'd actually had it on from the night before and hadn't been able to get it all off. I instantly wanted some as I thought would be great if it's long lasting like she said, and it really did look good on her. Off I trotted to Lush and saw they actually sold two of these glitter bars, one is this one; Shimmy Shimmy and the other is the Glitterbug. I, doing what I too often do when forced to make a difficult ... Read the complete review

I'm really not a fan of glitter but I LOVE the American Cream scent. So,when I got this in a hatbox recently,I was a bit confused as to how I felt towards it. It's cute, shaped like a little, squint heart. It looks lovely,a creamy white with glitter. If you smell it,you'll smell the American Cream scent - which is basically vanilla milkshake. So,I relented. I love the smell too much to let the glitter annoy me! I started rubbing this in as I would with any other Lush massage bar - only it didn't start to melt or transfer on to my skin. All it done was coat me in glitter,it didn't moisturise me or give me a nice massage ... Read the complete review

Shimmy Shimmy was originally a limited edition Christmas 2002 Sparkle Bar, meant to dress you in a treasure chest of Midas' gold and fairies' dust for the holiday party season. And Shimmy Shimmy did such a good job of it, that as soon as Lush rang in the new year, they gave her a promotion: she was kept on as a permanently offered Massage Bar for glitter-heads the world over to enjoy not just for special occasions, but always a stayer on their wooden shelves. Shimmy Shimmy is scented with sweet vanilla, musky clary sage, calming lavender, and benzoin resinoid (which is the equivalent of adding extra vanilla to the mix), Shimmy Shimmy also does a pretty darn ... This is a subtle glitter massage bar, that looks great whenever you use it especially when you have a tan. This one leaves you with a great golden shimmery glow and skin smelling of vanilla and lavender. This is gorgeous and I use it far more than the iridescent glitterbug as the sparkles are not so in your face. This leaves my skin smooth and smelling yummy, I find it is a great base for perfume - especially a sweet one like the Honey I washed the kids solid perfume - as it seems to accentuate the smell and makes it last a bit longer. I really do like this bar so much so I have gone through about four of them so far!!! I ... Read the complete review

Us girls love a bit of glitter, whether we admit to it or not, and Lush have been quick to cash in on this. They have a huge range of glittery bath ballistics, with more still coming out at Christmas, and now they have a new, fabby glittery product. Lush’s Glitterbugs are a range of little bars of solid moisturiser with different coloured glitter through. Fantastic both for partying and keeping skin silky soft and smooth, they are yet another fantabulous and innovative Lush products. Described as a massage bar, which it really isn’t in the traditional sense, here’s the deal on the Shimmy Shimmy Glitterbug… Ingredients Cocoa butter, pink ... Read the complete review
