What Lush say: Rich moisturiser to refresh and rehydrate dry, parched skin. If you have dry skin give it a drink. This is our rich, thick moisturiser (jokes about the upper classes' may be inserted here as appropriate) which turns rough, dry skin into soft, supple skin for as long as you continue to use it. With a delicious mixture of sesame, almond and evening primrose oils to moisturise, emollient, fresh, organic avocado to soften and feed your skin, and calming rose oil all mixed up in soothing aloe vera Skin Drink makes an impressive, rehydrating cream.

The Packaging

Skin Drink comes in a 45g black pot with a screw top lid. There are three black labels which have the usual essential information as detailed above - company info, size, ingredients etc along with a little description of what the product does. "Re-hydrating moisture for dry skin. In this pot you'll find aloe and sesame oil, roses and avocado to put the moisture back where it belongs. Dry skin drinks it up and is refreshed and lively again. Skin staple. A no-nonsense best seller."

One of the labels is a recycling one, to tell you if you take back 5 empty black pots, you will get a Fresh Face mask free.

There is also a sticker to tell you who made your particular product, the date that it was made and the date in which you should use it by.

Skin Drink has a 14 month shelf life.

My Experience

This was one of the first skincare products I ever tried from Lush. I had previously tried many top expensive brands to try and put some kind of moisture back into my face, but to no avail, so I was very sceptical. The price did make me hesitate as at £10 for quite a small tub, it was a little expensive for my liking, but I decided it was worth a try.

Skin Drink is pale brown/beige in colour and quite thick and creamy in texture. The scent is quite floral, but not overpowering at all.

As soon as you apply this cream you can feel your skin drinking it up. It's like the moisture is replaced immediately! You don't need lots of this, just enough to give your face an even coverage. Although, if my skin is particularly dry in some places an extra small blob can work wonders. I found it to be a little greasy in between applying it and it being completely absorbed, but it doesn't stay greasy.

After the first use, my skin felt immediately softer and smoother and within a few weeks of using, several people also commented on the appearance of my skin, so I knew it wasn't my imagination. My skin had become a lot clearer. It also made application of make up a lot easier as my skin no longer flakes like it did before.

I use this moisturiser once a day - occassionally twice, but not very often. The 45g tub lasts me around 2-3 months and is definitely well worth the money.

Lush claim this is one of their best sellers and I can honestly say I can see why!

Summary: If you suffer from dry skin, it could be the end of your worries. Buy it!!
