... since I had a hangover, and so I haven't had chance to test out this claim, however I can confirm that the claim on the Lush website that this is 'An early morning citrus slap in the face' is true! If you're having one of those mornings where you just can't wake up, washing with this gel will certainly help! It comes in a clear bottle with a white flip top lid, and the gel itself is a gorgeous reddy-orange colour (not the greeny-yellow you may expect from reading the ingredients list!). I wouldn't say it was a thick s...more

Crowned Review Lush Slammer Shower Gel: Icicles on your Testicles (1085 words)

Frozen shower gel. What picture comes into your mind when you read those three words? Maybe ‘Why?’ or ‘No way!’ or simply a shudder of cold winds down your spine. But I trust in Lush. I have faith. So for the sake of Dooyoo, I will put myself through what could be a rather unpleasant experience. Still, safe in the knowledge that there’s no way it could smell worse than the H’Suan Wen Hua hair treatment, I bravely soldier on. The first test approaches. You are in the shower, the frozen shower gel is in the freezer. What would you do? Would you… a) Run back downstairs, get a shower gel cube and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Half asleep in the mornings? Hungover? Try Slammer! (796 words)

I own quite a few of the Lush shower gels both from the current range and the Retro range, but because they're fairly expensive, I tend to only use them now and again, alternating with cheaper brands. Slammer is a shower gel I have been using for ages now and as I'm nearing the end of the bottle, I thought I'd tell you all about it! Slammer is a shower gel which comes from the Retro range. This is a range of Lush products which were around years ago, and have now been brought back for purchase online only. I don't remember this one from the first time around, and obviously as it's not sold in the shops I had no way of trying it before buying, so didn't know ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Lush Slammer Shower Gel: USE TO HELP WAKE YOU UP BEFORE YOU GO, GO! (1020 words)

Those of you who have read some of my recent reviews will no doubt by now be aware that like so many other female members at Dooyoo I have succumbed to temptation and have consequently become yet another Lush fanatic. All Lush products are handmade, not tested on animals and are suitable for use by vegetarians. Whenever I have purchased something from my local Lush shop I have been offered a free sample to try, the samples are packaged in a small clear container and come packaged in a transparent Lush bag with a label attached which gives details of the product name, describes the contents and offers advice on how to use the product. On my latest ...  Read the complete review

Every now and again a product hits the market that makes you think one of two things. Either:- 1. God, that's soooooooo simple, why the devil didn't I think of that? I could have made myself a small fortune! or alternatively, and probably much more likely... 2. What a bloody stupid idea! What idiot came up with that? It will never work, it will never sell and someone is going to lose a shedload of money! Well, I've just come across one of these little gems and luckily for Lush, the company that has come up with this, I would definitely place it in the first section! Before I tell you all about it, let me tell ...  Read the complete review
