Advantages: Smells fabulous, doesn't dry out your hair

The name Sonic Death Monkey draws you in straight away, let alone the curious swirls of dark and light streaks of brown. You open it and take a deep long whiff and your nostrils are greeted with the intense smell of chocolate, orange, lime, and coffee.

Well, I was hooked, at any rate. The chocolate smell is definitely the richest note there is, and when I first got the bottle the lime was really coming through to slice the sweetness of the chocolate. Now it's been a few months (yes, I ration my Lush products!) since buying it and the lime has definitely mellowed out, so if you don't like the smell initially, you could store it for awhile and it'll smell just like chocolate orange.

One of the best things about this is the fact that it can be used as both a shower gel and shampoo. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't dry my hair out at all. It takes a bit of work to lather it up but it depends on the hardness of the water levels where you live. Generally I don't need to use too much for my hair and body, and one 500g bottle has lasted me almost 6 months now. And I'm not even close to being finished with it.

It's not particularly moisturising or drying, but I did mainly buy it for the smell. And it's so rare to find a 2-in-1 bath gel that doesn't dry the heck out of your hair! This one fits the bill perfectly, and I recommend you buy the American Cream conditioner to go along with it. The smells mesh so well together, you'll have to fight off people trying to chew on your hair.

Summary: Well worth the price! You'll have beautiful, shiny, lovely smelling hair!
