Advantages: Great inexpensive gift

Disadvantages: None

The great thing about Lush is that apart from the wonderful individual items that they do they also create wonderful gifts which come in a variety of different shapes and sizes and also prices. There ! My gripe is that unless they have been together for a good year or so, the chances are the relationship won't last, you've bought someone a gift which realistically means nothing to them and you won't hear from them again!

My brother was dating about a year ago and I felt compelled to buy something for his now ex girlfriend but didn't want to spend alot! As always I looked in a few shops and couldn't quite make up my mind. I ended up in Lush and had a quick browse, at 5pm they wanted to start clearing away and I make a very spontaneous decision and picked up a Sunny Honey Stack. I didn't even bother reading the label but as I saw it cost under £8 I wasn't going to. It is the thought that counts, isn't it? After getting it home I had a better look at it and I was actually quite impressed. Lush quite often is a gift to suit everyones budget but regardless of price all the gifts are always presented beautifully with 110% care and attention to detail.

For some people I always find it awkward to buy gifts, especially boyfriends or girlfriends of one of my family members. You almost feel like you have to buy them something but yet you feel slightly annoyed that you have to get them something at all. But then if you don't you end up looking quite meanbring out new "stack" gifts as it's quite an easy way to give a gift and its relatively cheap! Sunny Honey contains Karma, Honey I Washed The Kids and Happy Soap, all of which are 100g. They are stacked together, with pieces of flimsy cardboard inbetween so the soaps don't really touch. The stack is then tied together and is completed with a label detailing what the gift is.

Happy:-

A special edition soap bar based on the best selling Lush shower gel "Happy Hippy" has grapefruit and bergamot oil and smells absolutely divine. It contains three fragrances, two being incredibly sunny, "smiley", and simple in their similarity, you'll immediately note sparkling astringent orange oil sweetened with toning tangerine to give it more of a fizzy orange soda air. Once Happy Soap makes itself at home in your shower, on top of these summer and sunshine notes, you'll get a whiff of the third scent, a mystery "perfume" ingredient. Some people interpret this "perfume" as being reminiscent of plastic, while others (including me) are immediately reminded of a spiced men's sports cologne, the result being a bright, mood-lifting perfume with masculine undertones, making this a particularly good soap for men as well as women. Beyond fragrance, if the idea of pouring freshly squeezed orange juice over your body makes you happy, then this soap's orange juice coloured lather will make you happy indeed, unless, of course, you draw the line at thickly secreted, hard-to-clean bright orange goop in your soap dish, in which case, you might need to play the song "Don't Worry, Be Happy" for additional inspiration.

Karma:-

This is a very nice layering piece for Lush's Karma fragrance, showering you in their famously uplifting and centering orange, pine, patchouli, and lemongrass perfume (unless, of course, you're unfortunate enough to land one of those relatively common Karma soap slices that are a bit weak on fragrance.) The soap, however, tends to consistently allow orange to dominate a bit more than it does in the actual concentrated perfume, which is a bit quicker to release a slightly spicier base on the skin. This is especially beneficial for those whose body chemistry tends to conjure up an intensely smoky incense with Karma's perfume oil; layering it with this soap can actually help in giving the citrus notes a bit of a lift. Those who aren't partial to patchouli will barely find a hint of it in its usual off-putting form here, especially with orange keeping it at bay. So don't let bias of this sort stop you from dousing yourself in Karma's yellow- orange lather, much like basking in the optimistically glowing sun during the Summer of Love in an era where the ideals of peace and
compassion eternally reign supreme.

Honey I Washed The Kids:-

Okay, do you remember the taste of Bit O' Honey sweets? Well, that flavour is exactly how Honey I Washed the Kids smells (and it's even the same colour, too!) So suffice it to say that if you loved those sweets, you'll love this soap (with honey, bergamot, & orange as its fragrant foundation) to no end. You'll also love Soft Coeur massage bar, Ma Bar bubble bar, and perhaps Honey Bee ballistic, as well. Once showered & dry, the lingering scent on your skin will be quite subtle, which is perfect if you're not generally accustomed to draping your body in ultra-sweet fragrances. Honey is amazingly good for soothing & smoothing the skin (credit Egypt for this discovery, not me) and Lush uses its every advantage to the full here. Speaking of honey, like many Lushies I, too, was at first a bit perplexed as to what could be done with the thin layer of decorative honeycomb on top. But then I found the perfect solution, use it to gently pumice your dry heels whilst showering. Works wonders, this!

What Lush says:-

"Bring the cheeriness of a bright, sunny day to your shower. The colours of sunset on autumn leaves, a trio of sunshine and honey soaps to lift the spirits. Spread the love, share the joy, give your friends a sweet citrus soap sandwich. With oranges, lemons and honey, it`s the perfect breakfast time, wake-me-up shower selection"

I was actually quite impressed with this trio, they all seem to go very well together and the gift was happily received by my brother's ex girlfriend she commented that she loved Lush and loved the soaps especially. So it was win win all round really! Despite them not staying together, considering it cost me £7.78 I didn't feel any love lost that I haven't kept in touch with her!
