Advantages: Smells divine, wonderully refreshing, relaxing, leaves skin feeling soft

Disadvantages: None as yet

Just when I thought I was going to run out of Lush products to write about, I get a new package of delights and see they are all categorised on here waiting for me write about them.

However, this is a product with a difference, it isn't a Bubble Bar Bath Slice, a Lush Soap or a Bath Ballistic it is a massage bar and what's more you need to get yourself a man (or woman) to help you use it to make it much more fun than trying to massage your own shoulders, or even your own body....

If like me you have a stressful job and like nothing more than a sexy man to rub you down and knead away the tension then look no further.... no Steve is not available...but the Lush Therapy Bar is and all for £3.35. This soap is only available in one size, which is 65g.

The Therapy Bar resembles a piece of soap as the picture shows and to use it you pretty much mimic the actions of using a soap - to melt the bar you rub it between your hands which then loosens some of the calming essential oils and butters to enable you to massage much easier so that your fingers glide over the skin or as Lush suggest “Rub the bar between your hands to melt the oils and butters until they are coated liberally, then apply them gently but firmly to a friend. Or even better, get a firm friend to apply them ever so slowly, thoroughly, luxuriously, insistently, gently and firmly to you - all over”. It may be useful to note that whilst the butters and oils are greasy on the hands, it does melt into the skin really easily without leaving your skin feeling greasy.

As with all Lush products the smell is totally divine, using a combination of Lavender oils, Shea & Cocoa butter to smooth and soothe your skin. I didn’t really know what Shea butter was, but after a little research I now know that Shea butter has soothing, moisturizing and protecting effects and has similar effects to cocoa butter in that it is good for dry skin, skin irritations and stretch marks to name a few. Whilst I was looking at that I also looked up Lavender Oil to be told that it is one of the most versatile and soothing oils known and wonderfully relaxing and its rejuvenating properties make it useful in skincare preparations. That information can be found using http://www.tisserand.com/products/oils.html.

The smell does linger for a good few hours after using and if like me you grow to love this product and use it rather frequently (or as frequently as you can get your other half to massage you) then you will find it does last a very long time. Lush estimate that using it three times a week on average it will last a good three months.

After using this my skin was left feeling totally moisturised and very soft and for those of you who want a full body massage, this product is safe to use on your whole body.

For those if you who have sensitive skin, again I also have extremely sensitive skin and often find that I am limited in which products I can use, for example I am allergic to The Body Shop shower creams and gels, but with Lush I haven't had any problems whatsoever, so that means I can now become a Lush addict and try everything.

So would I recommend this product? I absolutely would without a shadow of a doubt. As someone who is addicted to Lush products I think it is only right and proper that you but something and try it to see what all the fuss is about, which is exactly what I did. Also as someone with super sensitive skin I would also suggest their products, but I would advise you to go onto their website and check the ingredients used, they are listed under each product so it is easy to find out and what’s more, it is only £3.35 and it lasts a very long time. If you are not sure you like the sound of Lavender oils with Cocoa butter than worry not, there are plenty more to choose from, another thirteen to be exact.

**Extra Information**

If anyone wants to investigate Lush further to see what ingredients are used for this or any other products then you simply go to www.lush.co.uk which will give you the UK version of their website.

Lush products are not tested on animals, in fact they are vehemently against products being tested on animals and to test their own products they do tests on humans to ensure they are safe for general sale to the public and they will not buy ingredients from companies who use testing on animals as one of their protocols.

Lush first officially launched their products in 1995, although they had been around for many years previous and their name was decided upon in a competition after many years of working under the name 'Cosmetics to go' as a mail order company and so to Poole in Dorset the firm grew and became globally known.

The one thing that I found really interesting when I read up about Lush as a company is that in most of their products they use real Jasmine Absolute Perfume, which I am told it is more expensive than gold, yet Lush products are sold at affordable prices so that the everyday person can treat themselves to such luxuries.

Summary: A Lush Massage Bar to soothe you

I have heard that they only use natural products of excellent quality (although no one is likely to tell you that they use rejects of pure crap...) but I still have not tried any lush products. NOw that Chrtismas is nigh, I may ..
