I admit it, I took a break from Lush for around a month. I was spending WAY too much money in that shop, and after a week, would have not much left to show for it. So I took a break for a month and saved all of the money I would have spent in Lush that week in a jar. How did I know what money I would have spent that week? Because I'm a weirdo who makes Lush shopping lists every sunday, so I knew exactly what I'd spend that week. Exactly one month later (monday 22nd june), I had just over £119 in my little jar. Not only did I realize that I'm a huge spender, but I realized that I deserved a treat for being so good, so off to Lush it was!

I bought 5 things, one of which was the Therapy massage bar, which i have had many of, hence the reason I was confused by the fact I hadn't already reviewed it on here. For those of you who don't know, a massage bar is a solid bar of massage oils/butters/lotions which are useful in many ways. They usually come in different shapes/sizes and have patterns/prints on them.

This particular massage bar is an oval shape which around 3.5 inches long and 2 inches wide, it is 1.5cm in height. In colour, it is a yellowy cream, this can vary due to the fact that these are handmade and the formula sometimes differs. On the top of the therapy bar is a little nubbin type thing. There are also three little dips in it, which is a cute little addition to which would normally look like a very boring bar.

Lush have recently changed the formula for this bar and while it is still a firm favourite of mine, it is slightly different than from before. This is most noticeable with the scent. I could never really describe the previous scent, but now it is very much like Terry's Chocolate Orange with a hint of lavender in it. Thankfully the lavender isn't too strong because I hate that scent. If you smell it for long enough you can even smell the butters in it, which is lovely.

The main ingredients of this bar are: shea butter, coco butter, sweet orange oil, lavender oil and neroli oil. For a full list of ingredients, check the lush website.

It also eases the strain on your bank account as it's softer on the overdraft than the other kind of therapy.

Sounds lovely, right?
For me, this bar has totally changed my skin. I apply all over my body (except my face) after every shower and not only has it made my skin 100% softer and appear nicer, it has reduced the appearance of minor scars. This also works really well on my mum's stretch marks, so if you have stretch marks, this is the one for you!
Another thing I've noticed about this bar is that I concentrate better after using it. Weird, huh?

The massage bars melt fairly quickly with the heat of your hands/body, so don't faff around, get straight to business and put it back unless you want to be buying a new one every week.

These bars aren't only for giving/receiving massages/moisturizing though, you can use them to tame flyaways in your hair, for a lovely bath, for relieving muscle pain and tension, relieving congestion and many more.

To tame flyaways: hold your massage bar of choice in your hand for a few seconds - long enough to get some of the oils in your hands, but not long enough to make your hands oily enough to give your hair a greasy appearance. Once you've done this, run you hands through your hair, this will tame your flyaways and give your hair a lovely scent. AVOID applying this to your roots unless you like the greasy look.

For a good bath: again, take the massage bar of your choice, cut a chunk off and throw it into a hot bath, let it melt. This will moisten your skin and make the room smell lovely.

To relieve muscle tension: take the wiccy magic muscles bar and massage it into the tense muscles. This can also be done with the nubbin on the therapy bar.

To relieve congestion: take the wiccy magic muscles bar, cut a chunk off and throw it into a hot bowl of water and steam your face in it, or use it in a bath.

The therapy bar will cost £4.84 and if you buy two (of ANY massage bars, not just therapy), you get a free massage bar tin.

I've found plenty advantages in this massage bar. I personally haven't found any major disadvantages, but my mum has, so I'll throw those in there too, as it's only fair to draw those to your attention.

Advantages:
Great smell.
Completely organic.
Great moisturiser/lotion.
Fairly cheap.
Reduces appearance of stretch marks and scars.

Disadvantages:
Melts quickly (I agree with this one, but if your refrigerate it for 5-15 minutes before you use it, this will stop it melting so quickly).
If used for a long time, can give you a headache.

Only available from Lush or lush.co.uk (or the lush website for your country). You may find these on ebay or a lush swap site, but I advise buying them straight from Lush themselves.
