Advantages: Fun, Smells lovely and uplifting, good for your skin.

Disadvantages: Price

I know it may seem a bit early but I have actually started doing some Christmas shopping! This weekend I spent ages browsing the products in Lush and trying them out. I hadn't been in there for a while and found a number of new lovely products, one of which was the shower jellies.

~What is it~
A shower jelly is basically like soap but its texture is like a jelly - soft and wobbly. My favourite jelly was the Whoosh! This one was a translucent blue colour and had a lovely uplifting smell of lemon, grapefruit and lime. Although it looks like it will fall apart in your hands it doesn't and all you do to use it is rub it between your hands like you would any other soap. This creates foam which you can wash with and you put the jelly back for another day.

~What's in it~
The jelly contains lots of lovely oils and juices such as lemon, lime and grapefruit juice and rosemary, geranium and grapefruit oil. This gives it a wonderful uplifting scent and is also great for the skin, leaving it soft and fresh. There are also some scientific sounding ingredients such as glycerine and propylene glycol etc, that gives the soap its consistancy. However Lush aims to use organic ingredients that are not harmful to your skin.

~Price and Packaging~
Lush products are not exactly cheap and you pay £2.36 for 100g of Whoosh jelly. However this should last up to sixty washes. In the shop the jellies are laid out in big wobbly blocks that are cut up and put in small plastic pots. These are then weighed to get the price so you do have the luxury of deciding how much you want to spend.

~Conclusion~
All in all this product is great. It's a fun, new way to wash and leaves your skin feeling fresh and soft. It's bright colour and wobbly texture are a joy and you can't help but feel happy when using it. The high quality of the products makes it worth splashing out for a special treat, great for Christmas.

Summary: A great gift idea or special treat for yourself!
