Advantages: smells of sweets and scrubs away all that pesky dry skin
Disadvantages: messy!
Being a tad subjective when it comes to choosing my Lush products I tend to bypass anything that isnt pink or laden with glitter and stars, however when a friend recommeded and then bought me You Snap The Whip I had no choice but to give it a try.
My first impression was that it wasnt a product I would want to leave on the side of my bath, it looked like a lump of coal!!! However one first whiff I decided the smell was good enough to stink out my bathroom, it reminds me of those blackcurrant-liqourice sweets.
*****The lush website describes it as: ******
"Hard core body scrub & butter bar to show skin how to behave.
It's black, it's fruity and it scrubs your skin really, really hard. Get soaked in the shower and start your punishment. You Snap The Whip forces your skin to submit to its pumice and charcoal extreme cleansing regime. Once the wickedly effective exfoliation is over, it comforts you with luxurious macadamia nut oil and scents you with fruity blackcurrant and bergamot essential oils. Your skin feels as if you've just peeled off the old one and revealed a sexy new one (which you have, in a manner of speaking)."
I used it whilst in the shower, making sure I used the softer side on the more delicate areas (one side has a much rougher texture, useful for those dry stubborn areas) I gently scrubbed myself down. What hit me first was how strong the smell becomes once you start using, the next that I was black!!! The colour rubs off on your skin but luckily washes away!! I found it great as a gentle exfoliater but just make sure which side you use, it also left my skin slightly scented afterwards which has its pros and cons, the pro being I thought I smelt yummy...the con being so did my dog and she proceeded to follow me around licking my legs!!
I would strongly reccommend anyone who treats themselves to this to buy one of the tins with it as it does leave a mark on your bath if you leave on the surface, also it needs to be kept dry after use or it wont last as long. Also make sure you give your shower a good rinse out after as if someone makes a trip to your bathroom and sees black marks on your bath/shower they make make the presumption your a dirty bugger!!!
This product is promoted as being Vegan friendly and contains only natural and organic fruit and veg, the finest essential oils and safe synthetics, and isnt tested on animals! The cocoa butter used will also leave your skin feeling supey dupey soft after!!
Overall a great product but quite expensive and doesnt last that long
It is quite pricey at £4.84 and if your fella gets partial to it as well it wont last very long, it may be better if they made one in liquid form as keeping the bar from melting due to being in water for too long is quite a task if your showering!
Summary: Exfoliator in a bar!
