Advantages: Smells wonderful, leaves my skin soft and moisturised

Disadvantages: Absolutely none whatsoever!

As I'm sure a lot of you know, I no longer have a bath as I have had it taken out and my bathroom redesigned into a wet room. This is far better for me healthwise, although I am a little irritated that I can no longer enjoy my beloved Lush bath ballistics and bubble bars - however this won't be saving me any money as I fully intend to acquaint myself with their range of excellent shower gels. I was passing a Lush store at the weekend so popped in and treated myself to a 250ml bottle of Yummy, Yummy, Yummy Shower Wash as I remembered reading a favourable review about the scent and effectiveness of the product.

This is a cream body wash as opposed to a standard shower gel, I must admit I do prefer cream shower products as they are generally more luxurious to use and this one is no exception.

The first thing you'll notice as you open the bottle is the divine smell of strawberries and marzipan, it smells like a liquid cake! Actually the marzipan aroma you can detect is simply almonds but it mixes in with the other ingredients to give a scent that is extremely reminiscent of marzipan - although having said that my daughter says it doesn't smell of marzipan in the slightest so it's obviously one of those products that smells like what the user wants it to!

I have found that a little goes a long way with most Lush shower gels and Yummy, Yummy, Yummy is no exception. The smallest amount squeezed onto my sponge is sufficient to clean my entire body and while it doesn't produce the thickest lather I've ever seen, the cream does feel extremely soft and luxurious on my skin. I think the cleansing abilities of this body wash are second to none and within moments of beginning to wash myself my skin started to feel squeaky clean, the test is always when I have been working in the garden as I did today. I get as grubby as a toddler for some reason as soon as I pick up a trowel yet when I got in the shower this afternoon the dirt was removed before my very eyes using nothing more than a small dollop of Yummy, Yummy, Yummy and a quick wipe of the sponge.

While drying myself I was aware of the fact that the gorgeous strawberry scent on my skin, the marzipan aroma disappears rather quicker but even after a couple of hours I can still smell the strawberries fairly strongly and every time I go into the bathroom there is a wonderful cloud of the scent remaining in the air.

The effect on my skin after using Yummy, Yummy, Yummy is nothing short of amazing. I suffer with sensitive dry skin and it's a rare occurrence that I find a product where I don't need to apply lots of body lotion afterwards. However, this shower body wash is extremely moisturising and also soothed my skin somewhat during the short period between cleaning myself and rinsing off the lather. My skin felt soft and smooth after showering and even some hours later I was aware of the moisturising properties of the shower cream working their magic. It's practically unheard of for me to find any shower product which doesn't cause me to reach for the body lotion afterwards, yet Yummy, Yummy, Yummy left me feeling as though I had used a rich body cream which absolutely astounded me.

The main ingredient in Yummy, Yummy, Yummy is Lush's special Fresh Strawberry Infusion which is made using the European wild strawberry. This particular strawberry is known for its intense aroma; while all strawberries have a calming influence on the skin if blended correctly into your skin preparations, which Lush obviously have done as this is a fantastically soothing shower wash. I suspect the fact that my skin was left feeling so soft was thanks to the combination of almond oil and fine sea salt, both of which are moisturising while the salt also has added cleansing abilities and can help to rid your skin of impurities.

I am absolutely, completely impressed with Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. From the very first sniff I have loved the aroma and frankly the fact that it does such an excellent job of cleaning and looking after my skin is a bonus. It's not the cheapest shower product on the market but, as with the majority of Lush products, you are paying for a high quality product and anyway the fact that you have to use so little of the body wash for each shower I envisage this medium sized bottle lasting for some weeks to come. I paid £5.86 for this 250ml bottle and consider it a very reasonable price in all honesty, although there is a 100g bottle available costing £2.91 and I would perhaps recommend you buy this one first to give it a try, especially if you are not a fan of very fruity smelling body products. For the die hard strawberry fans there is a 500g bottle too which costs just under £10 - and this is the one I shall be buying next time!

Summary: A gorgeous strawberry scented cream body wash.
