I was given a sample bottle of this for Christmas last year and absolutely loved it so decided to go out and find a larger bottle.
I buy mine in Wilkinsons, £1.50 for a large 500ml bottle which I think is fantastic as it really does last me a good few weeks unlike others I buy.
It comes in a tall see through plastic thin bottle which is wider at the top and bottom and curves delicately inwards at the middle. The lid is a golden yellow colour to match the cream bath inside which is a shimmering gold. On the front of the bottle there is a sticker which says Lux in appropriate gold writing. It then says Bath underneath - which informs you this is meant for a bath rather than a shower of course. It then tells us it's Glowing Touch - this is the fragrance as there are others to choose from. At the bottom of the sticker it says 'Indulging cream bath Shea Cream and delicate skin brighteners.
On the back we are told a little about this cream bath
'Beautifully glowing skin gets you noticed - it draws people closer to you. A LUX glowing touch cream bath wraps you in a luxurious lather and your skin in a light reflective veil of Shea cream and delicate skin brighteners. It leaves your skin with a beautiful glow you can see
It is also;
pH Neutral to skin
dermatologically tested.
Now for somebody who hasn't used this before it has an awful lot to live up to - the description is luxurious in itself and you can almost feel yourself sinking into a hot bath and your whole body unwinding and relaxing in amongst a stunning lather and scent. Does it actually live up to this claim though?
To look at the cream bath it is glowing, glittery, shimmery and looks dreamy.
I don't know what the scent is meant to be but when you flip open the flip top lid and give the bottle a little squeeze a little puff of scented air shoots out it is a real uplifting fruity and sweet smell. You know when you take a good whiff of something and you just can't help but smile well this is exactly one of those fragrances.
It is quite a thick liquid, but at the same time easy to pour out. Be careful not to squeeze the bottle too hard as it can come out rather quickly. As it pours out you can see the glitter within it even more, it's not large pieces of glitter instead it is the tiniest dots of glitter spread evenly throughout the cream bath. It creates a lot of bubbles if running your bath water onto it, but I find the bubbles die down quite a bit leaving you with an almost shimmering glittery water.
It lathers up beautifully if used on a sponge and really manages to cover all my body in one go. It is a soft, creamy lather and I was pleased with the after results too. I was expecting to have pieces of random glitter stuck here and there on my body, I was glad though to find that my skin was just left shining, healthy and shimmery the way I was hoping it to be. Being such a rich and luxurious cream bath I was also expecting it to dry out my skin but it actually left it so smooth and clean at the same time.
In my opinion it definitely lives up to it's indulgent claim - as for people being drawn to my glowing skin, that is going a bit too far. I havn't had anybody following me around or nothing though like - good job too as I don't appreciate people invading my personal space lol - but I have noticed my skin is softer, smoother and looks healthy after use. I find it luscious to bath in and find lathering it up on my skin quite pleasurable and sensual.
I'd say it has more of a girly scent than manly really - it's a bit too sweet, fruity and feminine for a man I think - although we do all have different opinions. However ladies if you really want to pamper yourself and self indulge in a stunningly sumptuous bath then this cream bath is definitely worth a soak in.
